Head Coach Jason Stockner takes us inside his Cavaliers capturing the Hardware🏆

  There’s a line in Sports that has been around forever – its hard to beat the same team three times in the same season.

CCHS JV Basketball 🏀 team proved that very point today by defeating Pulaski County in the Championship game Monday afternoon. The Cavaliers fell twice to the Cougars early in the season but today the team opened the game firing on ALL Cylinders !

” GREAT TEAM WIN! The first 12 minutes of the game is the best the team has played since I’ve been coaching JV.

   We had some defensive lapses and then by early in the third quarter we trailed for the first time in the game. However the guys hung in there and made enough plays to win the game.

     Our guys are very resilient and play very very hard. Coach Largen and myself are very proud of the guys. GO CAVS!”

Blake Reed led the team in scoring with 10 points in addition to guiding the offense. CCHS jumped out to a 10-3 lead after the first quarter and made sure it was enough in a 39-36 victory.

Dane Leonard dropped in 9 points and both Hayden Jackson & Colton Gravely added seven points.

Congratulations to everyone involved in the very impressive four day / three game run 🏃‍♂️ by the Cavaliers !

Night 🌙 is upon the CLT Airport now as the Cavaliers Boys 👦 Basketball 🏀 teams are halfway to what we shall call 📞 The Daily Double up at The Fort !

Head Coach Jason Stockner, Assistant Coach Ryan Largen and the Red Hot JV Cavaliers took care of Business this afternoon and in just a bit Anthony Barnes and Kris Richardson will look to complete the sweep of the Annual Christmas 🎄 Tournament !!!

We will expand our coverage of the Junior Varsity 💙 victory here in a bit, once we get the thoughts of Coach Stockner.

8:30 pm EST is the scheduled Tip for the Varsity Championship game once again versus Pulaski County High School 🏫

Houston, we had a Problem but now its time to get back to the Trek !

The plan was to return to our trip on Sunday by getting down to our next stop ✋which is Houston, Texas.

  A problem presented itself and it was important enough to push our departure back 24 hours. Special Thank You 🙏 goes to Charlie Q out at Cassell Brothers and then Dakota Walls over in Galax.

   The Boys 👦 Basketball 🏀 teams both have Championship Games to play today and we will have as much coverage as we can create !

  Will stop for now so I can get down to Charlotte for the Flight ✈️.
