8:09 pm – Pulaski County and Fort Chiswell Semi-final game has reached the final 3:00 minutes. The two schools 🏫 have went right at each other from start up until now.

Carroll County versus Radford await with a spot in the Championship game on the line for all four teams. The Cavaliers will be playing someone on Monday for the third time this season, either way.

The Gymnasium is packed and the intensity is building. PCHS leads 52-51 and we are in a timeout after a mad scramble for the ball.

The game was tied at 38 after 3 quarters and looks to go down to the wire. PC 54-51 with Fort awaiting Free Throws.

End of 1st – Cavs lead 15-4!!!

Halftime – (9:07)… Carroll County leads 23-15 after Radford takes 2nd quarter 11-8.

3rd Quarter was a mirror image of 2nd, this time it was 11-8 Cavaliers. Up 34-23 with 8:00 to play ▶️

Carroll County JV flirts with perfection in the second quarter, cruise to a spot in the Finals with 54-27 victory over Radford.

Fort Chiswell – Carroll County punched their ticket 🎟 to the Championship game of the First Community Bank Christmas Tournament, cruising to a 54-27 victory over Radford Saturday afternoon.

The Cavaliers will find Pulaski County waiting for them on Monday afternoon at 2:15 pm.

After surrendering the games first point CCHS proceeded to go on a 10-0 run 🏃‍♂️. Radford answered back with the final six and the frame ended 10-7.

The Bobcats had no hope of bouncing back from the next RUN though as the Cavaliers applied pressure from beginning to end over the next seven clock minutes.

Basketball, unlike Bowling 🎳 where a red hot player can toss 12 straight Strikes, has no “perfect game”. But the Cavaliers drove to the outskirts of Perfectionville (Yes, just made that up).

Landon Kinder opened the quarter with the first of 11 Cavalier baskets 🧺 beginning what would turn into an astonishing 22-2 run 🏃‍♂️. Radford would eventually add a 3-pointer just before the half to pull within 34-12 but it was not going to change the outcome.

Offensively, Dane Leonard poured in 18 points and Hayden Jackson added 12 points but this game was all about the Cavs defense. End to End, swarming / ball hawking defense. All 15 Cavaliers played multiple minutes and nine dented the scorebook for Head Coach Jason Stockner.

” Very good win this afternoon! After missing our first four or five shots from close we started converting our shots and started building our lead,” Stockner. ” Our defense today was tremendous and it lead to several easy baskets. Everyone played very hard. We need to continue that and clean up some of our execution to continue this success.”

Pulaski County – Carroll County III will take place on Monday afternoon and this time there will be hardware 🏆for the winner.
