Welcome πŸ™ to Day #8/42 with the first piece of business being to have a moment of Silence for ACC Men’s Basketball πŸ€ and CCHS Girls πŸ‘§ return to the Court…

There was a time not that long ago where the Atlantic Coast Conference sat high atop the World of College Basketball. The past two days showed just how much the landscape has change as the SEC defeated the ACC 14-2 in a showdown where the only victories were upsets of previously undefeated Top Five teams.

Day 1 had Clemson hand the #4 Kentucky Wildcats their first loss. Day 2 provided only one victory as well with #9 Duke defeating #2 Auburn. Both of those wins were marquee type wins but the remaining 14 games in the made for TV πŸ“Ί match up were not much fun.

#18 Pitt lost by 33 points at unranked Mississippi Stare.

#20 UNC fell at home 🏑 to #10 Alabama by 15.

Virginia Tech lost at 🏑 by 16 to Vanderbilt.

Virginia lost by 18 against a ranked Florida team.

The list goes on and on with only North Carolina State having a chance in the closing minutes. The 🐺pack fell 63-59 versus Texas.

It was a rough experience for the league as a whole, maybe comparable to thinking finances were tight just ahead of balancing your checkbook and having to face actuality. I thought we would struggle in this pairing for sure but I certainly didn’t think we would be edged out by a final tally of 14-2. Miami and California joined 🐺 as teams that fell in just single digits.

In the background I can here Bruce singing about ” Glory Days “

Back 🏑 the Carroll County High School 🏫 Girls πŸ‘§ Basketball πŸ€ teams return to action starting at 5:30. Both teams will be looking to bounce back from opening night setbacks versus Pulaski County.

Tonight the Lady πŸ‘© Cavaliers host Martinsville…
