Atlanta – Georgia Tech (6-4) is hosting North Carolina State on Thursday night 🌙 Football 🏈.
The Home 🏡 team has already punched their ticket 🎟 to the upcoming Bowl 🥣 season while NC State needs one more victory, over either the Yellow Jackets or in Chapel Hill next week.
Georgia Tech finishes the season with Georgia so this might be their last shot at victory #7.
From Duke’s perspective, the Blue Devils are pulling for NC State. There are two distinct reasons for this with the first one being they own a victory over the Wolf 🐺 Pack which will increase in value.
The second reason is GT handed Duke (7-3) its first loss of the season so they want to avoid finishing with identical records.
The first quarter just ended (8:19) with the score tied at 7-7. GT struck first with a defensive TD but 🐺 answered back with a nice long drive.
Sadly, the ACC is being projected to only get one bid to the party 🥳 of 12 that is the Playoffs. It could still change but it would appear that only SMU, Miami or Clemson will get the Big Invite.
The next concern for everyone waiting on their Bowl 🥣 destinations is that if Notre Dame doesn’t make the playoffs, the fall into or Bowl pool. So, Go Fighting Irish in the final two games!
Pitt is 7-3 but on a 3-game losing streak. Syracuse and Duke are the other teams at 7-3.

What does all of this mean ? The ACC has 10 different Bowl 🥣 Games and right now they have 9 teams with 6+ wins.
Boston College, NCSU, Virginia Tech, California and Virginia each sit at 5 while Wake Forest has earned 4. The Deacons have Duke and Miami left so their chances are pretty slim as they need to sweep the pair.
Once the 10 spots are filled the remaining ACC schools will be farmed out to other Bowls 🥣. The fact that the Pac 12 was dismantled creates open spaces all over the place.
The Virginia – Virginia Tech game is guaranteed a 6 Win season. Both teams have an opportunity to get in this weekend.

Warm weather but lesser Bowls 🥣 take place in Tampa Bay (12/20) and Birmingham (12/27).

Plenty of reasons to watch NCAA Football over NFL Football 🏈 but then again I am just trying to get to Florida or Charlotte if not the Pop Tarts Bowl in Orlando….
