James River High School falls just short in its bid for a spot in the State Championship…

James River took a 3+ hour Bus 🚌 ride to Ridgeview Wednesday night πŸŒ™ and hit the ground running πŸƒβ€β™‚οΈ by taking the openIng set 25-21. But sadly for the Knights it would be the only time they would reach 25 on the night, falling 3-1.

This closes out play for the Three Rivers District Volleyball 🏐 teams. JRHS might have faired different if the match had been played in Buchanan as seven hours on a School Bus makes for a long day. As it is, James River will finish their season tied for 3rd in the State (Class 2).

Auburn – Rappahannock will kick off Championship Saturday in Salem at Noon with Ridgeview – Fort Defiance set to follow at 2:15. Hidden Valley will represent our Region in the Class 3 Nightcap at 4:30 pm.

Congratulations πŸ‘ to the Knights on their terrific season.
