Donna Ogle	Shelli Owens	10/4/2024	Donna is the BEST department leader. She is compassionate to our professional and personal needs. She is always checking on everyone in her department and on her hall. One day, Donna came down and taught me something I could do to modify my way of praying. She told me that on days I was having a difficult time that I just needed to say “Yahweh”. The simple act of breathing out that name offered peace. Wowzers…it has guided me on more than one occasion since she provided her advice.
Charles Thompson	Shelli Owens	10/4/2024	Don’t laugh. I stapled the middle of my thumbnail. Into. The. Quick. I know…gross and stupid. Mr. Thompson full on pulled it out like a cowboy. I now owe him one. He was calm and collected and made me laugh in a tough situation even though Mr. Holderfield just wanted to see how gross it was. I’m so proud of working for such amazing leaders!
Kristen Quesenberry	Shelli Owens	10/4/2024	After Mr. Thompson pulled out the staple in my thumbnail, Mrs. Quesenberry gave me a sticker and some cookies. She is such a rockstar!!! She goes above and beyond to make sure everyone’s mental health (and in this case, physical health) is okay. What an amazing administrative team!!!
Jay Holderfield	Shelli Owens	10/4/2024	I had an unfortunate run-in with a stapler…Mr. Holderfield made me laugh so I wasn’t so scared when Mr. Thompson pulled the staple out of my finger. Mr. H. is the coolest cat around.
Jessica Vaughn	Christy Williams	10/7/2024	Jessica is always busy doing a thousand things for other people. Whether it’s quietly doing things around campus or organizing a Tail-Gate party for the staff. She is amazing and we are blessed to have her in our CCHS family.
Kristen Quesenberry	Amber Robinson	10/8/2024	Kristen always goes above and beyond for our students at CCHS. She gives and gives selflessly to them, sometimes without the staff knowing all of the things that she does behind the scenes. She really does so much more than just this, but I can only enter so many characters into this box! Kristen definitely has a servers heart and we are so very blessed to have her as a part of our team.
Angela Goad	Kristen Quesenberry	10/14/2024	Angela prepares the whiteboard located in the “fish bowl” daily with motivational quotes, fun facts, the activities scheduled for the day, etc. She does all the work, but I get to enjoy students stopping to read and react to her daily messages. 🙂 And, sorry, Ms. Goad if you wanted to remain anonymous!
Sarah Jones	Kevin DeHaven	10/18/2024	Sarah helped Coach DeHaven with senior and sandlot activities. She filled in for one person who was out of town and did a great job. She really helped with organizing seniors in alphabetical order and got them lined up. She not only helped that football game but also the one the previous week when another person was out of town. She has always been willing to step up and help with anything this year. The help was greatly appreciated.
Chris Mabry	Shannon Dalton	10/18/2024	The Lions Club BBQ was great, but so popular that they didn’t send us enough meals. Chris immediately dropped what he was doing not once, but twice, to go over and get extra meals for teachers so that no one went without lunch.
Tabetha McCreary	Shannon Dalton	10/21/2024	Tabetha is a great resource to all our students and she’s always willing to jump in to cover a class, give a test, and help other teachers without hesitation or complaint. She’s an amazing team player and she makes our department more cohesive.
Elsie Smith	Shannon Dalton	10/21/2024	She wouldn’t consider it above and beyond, but Elsie is on her second long term sub of the semester. She has stepped up so many times to help teachers and she makes our school a better place!
Kim Kern	Sharon Hayden	8/23/2024	I want to take a moment to recognize Mrs. Kern for her incredible support of our students. She generously provided art supplies for a project inspired by her own work during CCHS’s intercession. Thanks to her efforts, all of our students had the opportunity to enter their paintings in the county fair. I’m thrilled to share that each student received a participation ribbon, and several of them won awards and money for 1st, 2nd, and 3rd place! Mrs. Kern’s encouragement and dedication made a significant impact, and we are so grateful for her contribution to our students’ artistic development. Thank you, Mrs. Kern! Shelli Owens	Christy Williams	10/23/2024	Big Thumbs up to the legendary Shelli Owens for being so darn entertaining as well as an excellent Uber Driver! (5 stars) Shelli is always willing to listen, she knows how to tell a good story and she will pick up your kid if you set them out at the mall. I’m so glad she joined our Cavalier Crew!
Stevie Richardson	Christy Williams	10/23/2024	Since the first day Stevie was hired you could see a difference in the upstairs CTE hallway. It was clean before but it is bright and shiny clean now! Every morning when I get to the top of the steps it is sparkling and everybody knows how much I love some sparkle! His personality is also as bright and shiny as the floors after he has worked his magic. He is always smiling, laughing and willing to help.
Christy Shupe	Angela Goad	10/18/2024	Christy did a fabulous job with all the parts of Homecoming this year – the pep rally was fun for the students and staff, many students participated in the dress up days, and the dance seemed well attended while students reported that they enjoyed their time there.
Shannon Dalton	Paxton Berrier	10/28/2024	So thankful for Shannon arranging both trips to Barter Theatre this week. I know my students enjoyed seeing the plays in the YPF competition, and I’m sure 9th grade enjoyed seeing A Wrinkle in Time.
Paxton Berrier	Shannon Dalton	10/29/2024	Paxton has taken on a new extra curricular activity and she is coaching our Scholastic Bowl team. She’s staying after school a lot to work with our students and help them prepare for competition. She is always enthusiastic and she’s built a space where a wide variety of students feel welcome. She’s going beyond what is expected to make her teams successful.
Tabetha McCreary	Donna DeHaven	10/29/2024	Tabetha is always so helpful. She is understands individual student needs, is a team player, and is always willing to help in any way she can. She helps find solutions when problems arise and helps make my role of testing coordinator easier.
Robin Fitchett	Jena Lovern	8/1/2024	I was sent home sick and Robin stepped up to cover my classes. She made copies of an assignment to help me out since I was going to be lecturing that day. She was very eager to help, and make sure that my students were taken care of.

Shelli Owens	Chuck Thompson	10/28/2024	Mrs. Owens has had life challenges recently including having pneumonia. Regardless, she comes to work each day prepared to teach and interact in a positive manner with our students!
Austin Keith	Chuck Thompson	10/25/2024	Mr. Keith had his class remove shrubbery at the softball field and replace the area with pavers. This adds to the seating capability at the field and will be enjoyed by many!
