Welcome 🙏 to the Show, Cordy !

The take away moment from a Season of Junior Varsity Volleyball 🏐 was make a Commercial from it exchange between Clara DeHaven and Paisley Snider at Radford High School 🏫.

I touched on this moment right after it happened but its not a 15 second throw away moment, not to me anyway.

To set the stage just a bit, our Athletic Director Kevin DeHaven started his day by driving 🚗 to Richmond for AD stuff. I only know this because we had been texting earlier in the day.

Clara DeHaven is either 13 or 14 years old (Mom 👩 will correct me, if Kevin doesn’t in regards to her age) and is not feeling well enough to play her Libero (Volleyball term) position for Head Coach Jason Petty.

Enter Miss Snider, I am guessing of equal age, being informed that she will be taking over the Libero position. Clearly Snider was trying hard to grasp the difference between playing a game versus playing the Libero position.

In a World 🌎 where Kiddos grow up wanting to chant “O.U.T out” at people or even worse, ” There’s a Net There”, the exchange between teammates was on another level. Then, when the encouragement ended, DeHaven leaned in and gave her Friend a Hug.

I was so impressed by what I was watching 👀 that I couldn’t find the thought process to take a picture of this. Parenting is such a HUGE part of how our Children turn out, followed by teachers and Youth leaders.

The DeHavens had a Kodak moment and I was too slow 🐌 to capture it. Remember that if you are one of the 20 or so Parents looking ahead to making “The Drive 🚗” to the Highlands, we are all a bit worried about two things – hitting a Deer 🦌 and are our Kiddos going to be subject to verbal abuse ?

AHS prides on their effort to create havoc for the visitors, to the point where nobody wants to play there. That, and McDonald’s being the lone after match Dinner option.

Clara DeHaven made me smile on Thursday night 🌙. I blame it on her Parents. 💘, Maybe a teacher or 2…

3 hours until kickoff down here but that was a story that I wanted to share on its own. This writing ✍ about how I feel and not worrying if someone Approves or Likes It is way Cool.

Welcome 🙏 to Saturday Morning 🌄 Day 6 of 14 !

Greetings to Everyone,

The Path less chosen is one, The Path less taken is another. Maybe, its the E+F=G. My sites are a part of my Ministry and have been a format I have used for almost two decades and its time to tweak the title to have it match the intent.

I remember Joe Walsh having an album he titled ” You Bought it, You Name it.”

REO Speedwagon – “You can tune a Piano 🎹 but you cannot tune a Fish.”

We will get to the right one but please know that the two things I have been chasing for the past four years in Carroll County are Faith and Education. It’s that simple, I do believe that we were all created equally and each of us where given a Gift 🎁.

My story is an Amazing 👏 One to me because God’s hands ✋ were all over it. If you make a list of every Challenge out there the only one that I didn’t face was my Mother and Father remained Married so there is no Broken Home story. Plenty of others, just not that one.

Ones Goal in my mind, should be to help as many people as you can, by any means possible. Letting someone know that they matter can be priceless to a person that is struggling.

Yesterday, in announcing that the Social Media portion of this journey is over, it created an opportunity to have exchanges with a number of quality people that wouldn’t have taken place otherwise. It was very enjoyable to say the least and I tried my best to give a heart ❤ felt response to all of them. Why, because I Could, its a small step towards Humanity.

Here in a bit, Lin and I will head out to Durham for tonight’s battle of 6-1 football 🏈 teams (SMU @ Duke). Fun to say 6-1 because I think its possibly just the second time in my 61 years we have been 6-1. Just saw that play on numbers!!

Everyone needs a Safe Place, a disconnect from all of their troubles. 12 or 13 times a year, mine is sitting in the stands at a Blue Devils football game. If you don’t have a place that is your safe place, try and create one.

The reason we haven’t already jumped in the Car is we were trying to hold on for word from our Friend, Stephen Puckett about the new Sign that is supposed to be installed this morning at his Church. We hoped to see 👀 it happen but if not we will see it on Tuesday.

On that note 📝, I will use Stephen as an example for pulling the plug 🔌on Social Media. Stephen Puckett has a Church ⛪ with Pews and Windows and he uses it to try and reach people.

The Pastor could stand in the middle of US-58 and do the same, right ? More people would see him and hear him but the Speed Limit is 55 so I’m not sure how effective it would be. Plus he would then be subject to getting run over, honked out, etc, etc.

My sites are my Windows to the World 🌎 and I am very comfortable with a smaller Audience. The tag line is Encouraging the World, one person at a time !

The best part of the morning message today is that when the “Sermon ” is over, I won’t spend 15 minutes trying hard to Guess the correct people to “Tag” in hopes of drawing people in. I think that I have a few people that I have given Hope to and that’s the Mission. Because when I was making my weekly trip to the Pawn Shop to sell something so that we could feed our Kiddos, I could have used some.

Can’t wait until I can borrow from Mr. Bill Engvall and say to Pastor Stephen, here’s your Sign….
