From Assistant Coach Maleah Neely:

Heidi is a youngin in the volleyball world. This is her very first year playing (even though many of the girls have tried to get her to play before this year).

She started on Coach Petty’s jv team this year, but after some injuries, we decided to pull her up to varsity because of her height and athleticism. She has been a huge surprise for us and is steadily getting better every day.

Her knowledge of the game is a little behind, but she listens intently and wants to learn. It has been pretty impressive seeing her go from not knowing a single thing about volleyball to blocking a ball back down during tonight’s game. She is very quiet, but she comes in and works every day.

I wish we could have gotten her a couple of years ago because lord only knows how good she would be now. With a little continued work understanding the game and how things work, I think that she will be a huge asset to
the team in upcoming years.

She is quite possibly the sweetest child I have ever met, but if we can tap into her competitive side and get her going, she will be unstoppable.

From Head Coach Cindy Edwards :

Heidi Painter is a first year player who had never played before she has improved alot she’s aways smiling. She has a tremendous upside to her able need to study and watch more volleyball to understand time game and situations more.

From Mom πŸ‘© and Dad πŸ‘¨β€

We are so very proud of Heidi. She has always been such an active child playing ball around the house and with her sisters.

She has never played any sports in school. She wanted to give volleyball a try because she took such a liking to it. She tried out and made the JV team and was so happy to be a part of it.

. After a couple weeks she got moved up to Varsity, which was also exciting for her. She was thrilled to be a part of both teams. As her parents, we are very proud of the way she puts in the hard work and her determination to strive to be a better player and teammate.

She always has such a positive attitude and always has been her own person and a leader, which is so admirable. We are looking forward to seeing her grow and of course playing on the court! – Momma & Daddy

From Heidi :

I love volleyball because of the people and the experience. I like how everyone is nice and supportive of each other.

These girls feel like a second family to me and always will. I am very glad I get to experience volleyball with these people.
Volleyball is also something that helps me keep my mind off of stress from homework or just school in general.
I also love how supportive my parents are. They are always making time out of their day to come to my games and watch, and pick me up from practice.
