Golf ⛳ 🏌️‍♂️ Fundraiser next week !

  Anytime an opportunity to help those in charge of Fellowship of Christian Athletes events presents itself we do our best to get involved.

  Next Friday Mitch Reed is hosting a fundraiser event at Castle Rock and we were happy to both sign up a team and be a Hole sponsor.

  Golf ⛳ was once a large part of life, from running hundreds of events in multiple states, but now its something that I do for fun. Fellowship if you will and when we put together a team its void of serious golfers 🏌️‍♂️.

  Marion Harris is a fellow supporter of FCA so it was a natural invite to ask him to join Coach Alan Knight and myself for the afternoon. Also asked Marion to invite our fourth player.

  I have never had the privilege of meeting Mr. Nick Bell and I’m looking forward to doing so. From what I hear, Mr. Bell has serious golf skills.

  Fast Forward to this morning here in Boone as I was heading out to play a warm up round of ⛳ at the Boone course. Thinking through to next week I made the decision to bypass the more challenging Course in town and elected to head over to the executive course at Willow Creek.

  Knowing that if Mr.Bell comes as advertised, my driver will not come into play next week. The upside was carding a +3 30 and getting plenty of practice on the short game and putting.

  Willow Creek is part of Willow Valley and is a fun yet challenging short course and with the money 💰 saved its off to see the Boone Bigfoots later today.

  Looking forward to meeting Mitch Reed and of course, Nick Bell all while helping out our friends at the FCA !

Legendary Volleyball 🏐 Coach Cindy Edwards has her team headed to The Rock !

Cindy Edwards is about to resume her pursuit of 500 VB wins and in hopes of getting her team ready for the Fall, Coach is also going to be here in Boone for the weekend.

Edwards will have her entire Staff and I believe 9 of here soon to be players with her for the camp. The team will have a routine that will keep them busy so there’s no guarantee that our paths will cross but its always an honor to salute Coach and her efforts 👏❤!

Hoping that the camp turns out to be everything that it can be for All involved !

Good Morning 🙏, Welcome to Friday ! We will be in action 🎬 in South Hill & Blacksburg this weekend..

Last week Mr. Travis Austin took the time to be our Tour Guide for a Youth Baseball ⚾️ State Tournament being played up in Appomattox.

Because two of our favorite words are inclusion and equality, we will spend this coming weekend doing the same for the Lady 👩 Cavaliers of the Future with the assistance of our own Kevin Burress.

The event is being played over in South Hill, Virginia and gets underway at 3pm today with Carroll County set to take the field around 5:00 pm. We will use the word “around” because up in Appomattox the suggested start times and actual start times were significantly different.

Families will start the drive 🚗 over to Lover’s Leap and beyond here in a bit.

Here is the drive awaiting the group, using CCHS as a starting point. Parker Park is the name of the complex in South Hill.

Also taking place this weekend is the first Tennis 🎾 tournament for recent graduate 🎓 Jabin Talley. First in the sense that its the start of his College Days. Greg Talley will share his thoughts on the experience as it plays out for Jabin and the Family 👪.

In both cases I will share the updates as they are made available and wish Godspeed on the treks over to the Buggs Island Lake region and to the Land of the Hokie !

Should be a fun weekend for both our future Cavaliers as well as our former Cavalier !
