Mr. Gallimore and I have been trying hard to get an understanding on the Region 3D Softball bracket and schedule 📅 and I’m finally up to speed!
The first of four QF contests was played last night 🌙 up in Roanoke and we have our second upset if you will. Abingdon came in as the #6 seed and yesterday afternoon they made the long bus 🚌 ride up to Cave Spring and rallied to win 4-3 in eight innings.
AHS now awaits the winner of #2 Staunton River versus #10 – William Byrd.
WBHS recorded upset number one in the play-in round, defeating Tunstall 7-4.
The three remaining QF contests begin tonight at 6pm at Cavalier Park, Staunton River and Christiansburg.
The semi-finals are slated to be played in a window of next Monday and Tuesday.
