The end of the Junior Varsity Softball game was unfortunate timing for the Lady Cavaliers

Carroll County JV Softball was up against a tough opponent in visiting Patrick County and their pitcher Jenna Woods. They started the game on good terms by keeping the Lady Cougars scoreless until the top of the third inning.

PCHS would plate five runs in the 3rd and that was plenty for Woods to work with. Carroll County kept the score close through six innings at 7-0 but unfortunately for them there was still five minutes remaining in the 90 minute time limit which meant starting a seventh inning.

A team never sets out for moral victories but a 7-0 setback against a quality team is a respectable final score. In the top of the 7th inning the Lady Cougars would go on to plate an additional 8 runs by sending 11 batters to the plate.

Patrick County would win the contest by a final score of 15-0 which sadly doesn’t reflect the effort of the JV Lady Cavaliers.

History was made tonight as Varsity Baseball ⚾️ played its first game under the Lights !

There was a special magic in the air as the Cavaliers were finally able to flip the switch on their brand new lights. Mother Nature 👩 had pushed the big date back a few times but it finally happened !

Coach DeHaven checked in after the contest against a talented Patrick County Nine –

Played hard but came up short 9-3. Pitching wasn’t on tonight but we will get better. Senior night Thursday versus Radford.

Girls 👧 Tennis 🎾 gave their Coach their Best effort today 👏 but fell short at Home 🏡

Carroll County Girls Varsity Tennis lost 9-0 to Radford this afternoon. Our girls tried their best against a formidable Radford team.

Seed 3-Maiya and Tiffany lost 8-1

We have a doubleheader on Friday against Patrick.
