Our resident Tennis 🎾 Dad’s – Martin McKenzie & Greg Talley

It only took a month for my opportunity to meet Coach McKenzie and I am going to tell you that he was a treat to get to meet!

On a day that started in Durham, North Carolina, it was stop βœ‹ #7 that brought me to the Tennis 🎾 Courts as their matches were getting underway.

Here’s Greg modeling the Hoodies that we were happy to provide for the team this season.

To say that the conditions were less than desirable is one thing but today we have hard copy proof !

Somewhere under the layers here you would find Mrs. Paula Richardson and little Gracie β™₯…

First it was the wind and then the rain 🌧 βž• the teams were trying to share the courts. Both teams have dealt with six postponed matches so the need to try and play was imperative.

The Boys πŸ‘¦ were minus three players and fell 6-3 to Alleghany while the Girls πŸ‘§ match was pushed after doubles, with the Cougars leading 2-1.

Both coaches have sent in breakdowns and I will be adding them to this post πŸ“« once I find the path of least resistance.

Coach McKenzie, you are the Man ! Keep checking your inbox πŸ“₯ for that $100,000.00 check !

Here’s Martin’s take :

Girls Varsity Tennis match against Alleghany had to be called because of the weather. All singles matches will resume when we play Alleghany again. Date to be determined.

We were able to finish the doubles matches through the blustery conditions. Emma and Erika (1 and 2 seeds) won their match. Khloe and Maiya (3 and 4 seeds) lost their match, but it was close. Tiffany and Hallie (5 and 6 seeds) lost their match but tried their best.

I was able to finally meet the man, the myth, and the legend Jerry! It was a pleasure to finally meet him.

Thanks Coach !
