America’s favorite roving reporter was working the Concert tonight and she’s filed her report !

It was a great concert with a decades theme. All the kids came in costume.

Shannon Dalton was at the First United Methodist Church β›ͺ tonight and was kind enough to share some photos πŸ“· for us to share.

Bonus in that we now have a program which lists the names of the performers !

Always love πŸ’˜ it when everyone that contributed gets some props !!

We’re BIG FANS of everything Patricia Lineberry and her group does and we appreciate πŸ™ Mrs. Dalton taking the time to give us a look see inside

The on-going story was titled 6 Banquets and a Meeting… Tonight was the Meeting

The photo πŸ“· above is of recently retired Carroll County High School 🏫 Girls πŸ‘§ Basketball πŸ€ Coach Marc Motley along side Principal Chuck Thompson and Superintendent , Dr Mark A. Burnette.

The Carroll County School Board meets once a month and their April 2024 meeting took place tonight at the Carroll County Governmental Center on The Hill.

It was my first time attending a School 🏫 Board meeting so the entire process was new to me. I had been invited to attend to accept acknowledgment on behalf of Linda and myself. Turns out the segment was called ” Spotlight Moment “

Linda was still working so she couldn’t attend but anytime someone acknowledges your efforts its a good thing. Dr. Burnette read a very kind message describing some of our efforts over the past 3+ years.

Sincere appreciation for the Moment and the way it was presented !

Monday April 22nd is set to be FREE Soccer ⚽️ Night at Tommy Thompson Field on The Hill !

Varsity Soccer ⚽️ Coach Forrest Johnson and Athletic Director Darrin Mathews…

Any fan looking to catch Carroll County High School 🏫 and Alleghany High School 🏫 square off on the Soccer ⚽️ pitch on April 22nd can do so for FREE with just one small catch.

All fans entering the gates prior to halftime of the Boys πŸ‘¦ Junior Varsity game will save the $7.00 admission cost for a ticket 🎟.

” Coach Johnson and his staff have built up their program through a great deal of effort over the past few years,” said the folks at OneofUs.Care. ” We truly believe that if folks can make the time to take in a game they will be able to appreciate just how talented the current team is.”

The goal (Soccer term) is to get some exposure for the Junior Varsity team at the same time. By requiring the fans to enter before halftime it gives Jeremy Puckett and his team an opportunity to play in front of a crowd as well.

The thought process is simple, take the gate total from last years game versus Alleghany and write ✍ a check βœ” for that amount so it doesn’t cost the School any money. Step πŸšΆβ€β™‚οΈ2 is get the word out there so people can take advantage of the offer.

Whether or not the idea takes off or not is yet to be seen and the same can be said for the chances of the idea catching on or being dismissed as just another kooky marketing idea.

It was an easy decision to try this out with the Boys πŸ‘¦ Soccer ⚽️ program as we are fans of all the hard work being put into the program by the Coaches and the players. We couldn’t think of a better way to try and help Coach Johnson.

Thank You to Mr. Mathews for being so accommodating in regards to getting this put into place.

Let’s call it PACK THE HILL NIGHT πŸŒ™ @ Tommy Thompson Field !
