Let’s start out with Baseball βΎοΈ, they moved up their contests with the Cougars one day to get them played.
Tennis πΎ matches have been pushed back, bringing the has to be a School Record π« fifth consecutive time that the teams haven’t been able to play a match.
It would appear that the Boys π¦ JV Soccer β½οΈ and Varsity Soccer will make the trek up to the Highlands this afternoon to play βΆοΈ games!
That leaves us π§ Soccer β½οΈ which was set for The Hill tonight but it has also been pushed back.
Best of Luck to Coach Puckett and Coach Johnson tonight !
Yesterday afternoon I was sitting in Ron’s shop on Main Street in the Big City when he showed me an email π§ that he received after a story that I had written about him and his family πͺ appeared in The Carroll News.
Β The email was offering him a plaque with the story on it for $199.00 β.
Β Apparently this is happening more and more these days, where a company is scanning the local newspaperπ°s for feature stories that someone might want to keep.
Β The Carroll News can’t run a story saying that they have nothing to do with this process so I figured I would do it for them. Especially after the Banquet yesterday for The Best of The Best.
Β Purchase one, don’t purchase one, just know that its not our local newspaper trying to profit of their stories.
Nice story about the three generations of Cochrans used as the example π
” The CCHS JV relied on the pitching and defense too much and 2 errors was more than the offense couldnβt recover from The pitching was spot on giving up 4 hits and no walks.”
These same two teams met last season for the JV District Championship, with CCHS claiming the Championship on the road.
The contest yesterday was held at Casey Field.
β
The game remained scoreless until the bottom of the sixth inning, when the home team plated their four runs.
