Good luck to our friends from the west still in and fighting it out in the finals!

Here’s to a great season in the books!

Thursday will be a Busy, Busy Day on so many fronts

We have oh so many things taking place today that involves members of our Community. My travels have me in Beckley, West Virginia today with the Golden Bears 🐻 Baseball ⚾️ Program but we will still try and shine a light on as many things as possible!

Marion Harris is our resident Soccer ⚽️ guru and all three of our programs are heading across the Leap to play their first scrimmages today. Marion will do his best to net (Soccer term) us coverage from all three matches.

Special Love πŸ’˜ to our new Girls πŸ‘§ Soccer ⚽️ Coach, Mr. Ben Tickle !!!

MACC will be heading up to Virginia Tech for their season ending showdowns against the Best our neighboring Schools 🏫 have to offer.

Mr. Craig Worrell will be spending time with our Softball program here in a bit as he creates the artwork for Coach Nester and the young Ladies.

The drawing of the winning raffle ticket 🎟 that is helping to send our Chorus to Washington DC will take place and we need to say Kudos to everyone πŸ‘ who either donated to the basket 🧺 or purchased tickets 🎟 or possibly did both.

Terrific idea πŸ’‘ that allowed so many people to participate while staying inside of their comfort zone.

Busy day but we will find time to share anything that hits the inbox πŸ“₯.

It’s a Great Day to be a Cavalier !

Tomorrow is the MACC’s version of the Super Bowl and Shannon Dalton takes the time to set the Table for all of the Participants as only she can !

Tomorrow is a HUGE day for three of our five MACC teams as they are set to head up to the land of Hokies for their final showdowns !

The first step πŸšΆβ€β™‚οΈ is to list the Students from the teams that qualified and mix in some notes πŸ“ from Mrs. Dalton to help frame the evening for all involved.

MATH :

Davis is the captain and Ethan will be the one to watch on buzzers.

Math was the season champion. They were at a disadvantage at the tournament because they were missing members and their coach (Alex Leonard from CCMS) due to flu.

Science :

Connor Beasley is the captain and a true Team Leader! He’s backed by Garrison and after Garrison, it’s a deep bench of players that all bring different skills to the table.

Rui is a cool story, because he’s one of our two exchange students at CCHS this year.

He’s from Japan

Social Studies :

Ashlyn is the captain. The buzzer beaters on this team are Bradley Dalton and Jacob Roberts. Jacob Talbert is the geography wing man.

Wesleigh, Kaylee, Robbie are the junior members. Andrew and Payton are the backup bench.

Social Studies was third in the season, so they had to win their way into SuperMACC.

Their amazing game against Grayson put them in the finals with Galax. As Galax was season champion, that left Social Studies with the pass to SuperMACC win or lose.

The two teams that had great seasons but fell just short of the Final Stage : English and All-Around

The English team had a great season and finished third. We needed two wins at the tournament, but had a surprise loss to Bland.

All-Around also had a good season and finished fourth. They were fresh off a victory over George Wythe and then turned around and lost to them at the tournament.

Best of Luck to all heading up I-81 tomorrow but let’s give the final word to Mrs. Dalton:

“It’s going to be some difficult competition tomorrow for everyone.”

Sydney & Kevin Sage are hard at work on our next Play ! Coming to an Auditorium near you.

I had the pleasure of meeting up with Mr & Mrs Sage this afternoon while on The Hill. They were holding practice with the Students who will be performing in the School play on May 3rd and 4th.

The Adams Family πŸ‘ͺ will have a cast of many and we hope to assist them in getting the word out between now and then.

It was a pleasure sitting through one of their rehearsals and then meeting them afterwards ! Here’s hoping that our paths will continue πŸ™ to cross!
