It’s not an uncommon thing to wake up on a given day and have to decide between two events that will be taking place later in the day. Today is the rare day that the number sits at three.

Number one is an event that is near and dear to us. Any list of uplifting moments from the past year would automatically include the times we were able to assist Vickey Ritchie in her efforts with the Special Olympics.

Our Junior Varsity Softball team had a double header scheduled for Monday afternoon that was moved to today at 4:30 pm. Alexis Dalton and Company will be playing two games (5 innings) against Tazewell High at Cavalier Park.

Down in Tennessee tonight the Fellowship of Christian Athletes is holding their Tennessee versus Virginia Basketball π All-Star games.
Linda and I were able to watch Katie Lam and Alyssa Ervin play in Game 1 this past Saturday and were looking forward to seeing the duo play for the very last time in their Carroll County High School basketball uniforms.
Tough one for sure but when you beat the drum for as long as we have about Junior Varsity being just as important as Varsity, the answer becomes very easy. Announce the 12 players that play Softball and try to do it with the same energy that is done for the Varsity !
I hope the weather cooperates in Galax for the event and that the farewell game for Katie & Alyssa is something that they will treasure!
Have a Blessed Day !
