We were just lucky it was Galax in the pool tonight and not Carroll (although swim is going to catch up with us this Saturday when that team is at the Littles in Bristol and Scholastic Bowl is at Bassett for regions). We have a full slate of academic swimmers: Bradley Dalton, Ethan Edwards, Garrison Wheatley, Andrew Taylor, Nahi Cruz, Jarib Cruz, and Will Dalton. And our academic wrestlers: Trenton Newman and James Mendez. And pretty soon, soccer season and the other spring sports will be catching up with even more of our crew. This is a double, triple, quadruple-duty group if ever there was one.
We will keep plugging away on this until it matches up because the quality of her efforts is overly impressive !

I shouldn’t start naming names because I’m sure I’ve forgotten someone, but it was really cool to see so many co-worker kids who have grown up together with their teacher parents making an impact on the various MACC teams.
MACC is off now until Feb. 5 when we will host Fort Chiswell at home in the CCHS cafeteria at 6 p.m.
