Home Town Hero of the Week – Mrs. Shannon Dalton !

This is an old clip that I stumbled across and wanted to use for a Prop.

 I have possibly spent a total of 10 combined minutes with this Kind Lady 👩 but I have to stop and publicly applaud her assistance with our Project here!!!

 I’m not sure that I can possibly explain the value of Mrs. Dalton to our efforts as she has taken on the coverage of our Swimming 🏊‍♂️ teams.

 Her stuff this week was over the top and included EVERYONE that competed in the event.

 If someone pays close attention to the inner workings of the Carroll County Sports Report they will notice that my name doesn’t appear anywhere on it. That’s because its not about me, its about our Youth and our Community. The World 🌎 is full of folks that wait to call you out or tell you about your shortcomings to I tried to create a space that is 100% positive for them. The easiest thing to do would be to quit trying to chase seven JV Squads but I would rather stop ✋ the chase all together. Little Ones count too!

 Shannon Dalton made my life better this week and if you see her, Thank her for me !

The Calm before the storm because of the Storm???

 Next week promises to be as hectic as it gets, especially for our Basketball programs. A number of postponements due to weather were added to the one for the Boys had with Galax due to Covid issues back in December creating a new type of storm for the Players Coaches, Families and Fans (also Administration). Both programs are looking at possibly playing four games over the upcoming calendar week.

  Rest up and enjoy your weekend as much as the temperature will allow because next week promises to be a challenge across the board. The Wrestling team and the Swim teams will continue to juggle dates in hopes of getting of their meets in as well!

 As of this post the Girls have added the contests at Radford to the Monday schedule that was previously blank for them. The MACC is set to compete on Monday but not sure if it’s the @ Bland match or the home match postponed from last week? Right now, the schedule doesn’t show the Boys playing on Monday – we will wait to see if that changes.

 Don’t forget about the Special Olympics’ event Sunday afternoon at the Elementary School scheduled for 2pm
