Bonus in the group photo π· is that the final score in Coach Kayla Nester’s latest victory is in the background (48-20). The younger Cavaliers made the most of their opportunity at Glenvar last night π and did so with strong πͺ efforts on both ends of the floor π. But before we break down the game we should take the time to introduce the four young ladies that were added to the roster from the 8th grade team :
β#1 – CC Mitchell
β#22 – Ashton Rodrigue
β#42 – Aaliyah Hampton
β#44 – Hayden Heflin
βCongratulations π to all four on receiving the call up after completing your season with Coach Tobler !
CCHS……15….13….16….4….-48

Kayla Young led the offense with a game high 16 points with limited game time after the end of the first half. The Cavaliers bench looked full with 12 players dressed in uniform and all 12 recorded plenty of minutes in the contest. Seven of the 12 broke into the scoring column, including two of the newcomers!

Raylee Goins finished up with 9 points and Faith Clontz poured in 8 points. Laynie-Jo Leonard, Kenzey Young and Hampton all finished up with four points.
βThe final three points belonged to Mitchell in what has to be one of the quickest scores ever recorded once a player checked into a contest. During the action π¬ late in the 3rd quarter, Mitchell checked in and netted a 3-pointer just seconds later !
βAfter a number of injuries limited the team to having six or seven dressed players early in the season, the team appears to be busting at the seems. The team should be returning to action Tuesday night π on the Hill.
βCongratulations πππ to the team on another victory (at least five straight ) and to the latest additions that are part of the show !
There is more information on the game itself back on the Day long blog from yesterday.
