We have picked up a few more readers so I will do a quick reset on the Running 🏃♂️ Blog format. Unlike most of the Posts that are designed to be consumed inside of two minutes, the running blog last all day. After the fourth game is complete each team gets its own stand alone story.

Things you just don’t see everyday… tied at 43 in the closing minute, Fort Chiswell and Patrick County made four consecutive 3-pointers to send the game to Overtime at 49-49!! The fourth shot came at the buzzer. OT will push back our start from 1:30 to roughly 1:50ish.

2:28 pm – Alleghany 23, Carroll County 14 @ Halftime. The Cavs cut the lead to seven but the Cougars grabbed an airball rebound for a last second basket. Reitzel leads with five while Richardson and Bryce Smoot have four each.
2:37 pm – 2nd Half….
Cougars 45-29 after 3rd. Cavs cut it to six twice in the frame but couldn’t get any closer.
Reitzel scored the first eight points in 1:42, now down 45-37.
T.O. – 2:09 (4th) Cavs trail 56-48 and now have 3 players with four fouls each.
TO – 1:25, down 59-50, 60-50, 60-52 after a Cody Reece put back (1:12).
Once we have a final here we will switch over to the little gym where are JV was set to Tip at 3:00pm….

The 🚌 is ready to leave the Hill with both of the Boys 👦 teams on board for the trek over to Floyd County. The Varsity team kicks off the day at 1:30 and the Varsity Girls 👧 conclude it with their 7pm tip.
Plenty of action 🎬 ahead of the pending Snow ❄ storm. We will do our best to capture as much of it as possible, from start to finish !
