Having made my living in the Newspaper π° business for 45 years now, nobody has to worn me about my Industry going the way of the Dodo.
The harsh reality of print media is that no newspaper of any size is immune from decreased Circulation. Even the folks I still work with at the Washington Post are asked to cut βοΈ costs on a daily basis.
With all of that said, we lost an impressive Man π¨ that was tasked with trying to keep three fan bases satisfied with little to no budget to speak of. Not only did Craig Worrell accomplish this weekly, he did it with a smile on his face. This is the reason that everytime he was at an sporting event that I was announcing I would both acknowledge his efforts and ask for a round of applause π.
I have held they very position for a Weekly newspaper π° that covered three High Schools π«. Here in Carroll County we were fortunate to have the duo that I liked to call the Non-Worrell Brothers but that’s no longer the case.
Craig – you were a Great Big Man π¨ and you will be sorely missed. If you ever find yourself searching for a place to freelance your Mad Skills the door πͺ is always open here !
One final Tip of the Cap to Mr. Craig Worrell !
