Once again a Volleyball π season is over and the first thing I want to do once again is ABSOLUTELY applaud the Parents of our JV and Varsity Parents.
The JV parents didn’t have to make the loop to Lord Botetourt but they did have their own trek down to Glade Springs on a different weekend.
Let’s take a look at the Numbers –
Total Matches – 25 when you include the two scrimmages.
Total Calender Days – 22 as four of the matches were played on the same day.
Number of Gymnasiums – 12… 11 dates in the Home π‘ Gym and 1 night in 11 other gyms.
Miles π driven Round Trip to the 11 away matches – exactly 1,400 when you use CCHS for a starting point. Tougher to count the miles for the Home π‘ matches being everyone has a different starting point.
Once you toss in the cost of admission, gas β½ and road food plus time missed from work to get to the matches at James River and Alleghany = Unconditional Love π.
I will take a minute and use my own 15 mile drive π to Carroll County High School π« and then minus out the 5 road trips I didn’t get to this year and come up with a number of and come up with a number of 1,414 miles driven to watch, Blog , support and Announce Carroll County Volleyball π this year. But its not about my Total, its about those of the folks that went 22/22 & 25/25!!!
My takeaway from 3 years of being around Carroll County High School Sports remains the amount of Love π the Parents show their Kiddos !
I would welcome hearing from anyone that ACED (Volleyball term) the season by digging (Volleyball term) into the lives so deep that they attended all 25 matches because they would deserve to be acknowledged for their example of Love π and Support !
