Captain’s meeting last night
In Sports you often here about things that don’t show up in the Box Score. Well last night in the Gymnasium on the Hill our Volleyball 🏐 team dropped a 3-2 heartbreaking 💔 match to visiting Glenvar. The first thing that won’t show up in the Box Score is just how hard the team played for right at 2 & 1/2 hours nor will it show how much energy the fan base exhibited while trying hard to will the team to a victory.
Down 2-0 early on, the Lady 👩 Cavaliers kept digging and smashing. The Highlanders finished the first two sets by identical 25-23 scores before CCHS took the next two at 25-22, leaving the match all square heading into the deciding Set #5.
Glenvar raced out to an 11-2 advantage on the way to 15. Even then our Ladies pulled within 13-9 before finally falling 15-10. The Box Score will show that Glenvar won the District Championship game but everyone in the Gymnasium knows just how much energy 👏 the Lady 👩 Cavaliers poured into the night.
Time to go prepare to announce our Field Hockey 🏑🏒 game so I will close with one more VB note 📝
