First Things First – Radford High School 🏫 updated the District sign in the Bobcats Gymnasium. More Three Rivers Senior Night Volleyball 🏐, Special Night 🌙 for the Harris Family 👪 ❤ & Kevin Burress is waiting on a schedule 📅 for this weekend.

Not sure why I am so happy with this Sign, maybe because its the only one I’ve ever seen ?

Last night 🌙 ended with a photo 📷 of this pair so its fitting that tonight begins with the same Coaching Duo from Floyd County. Monday night was by design to show some kindness in the direction of Sherry Slaughter and Friends but tonight was a positive stroke of Luck!

Our Lady 👩 Cavaliers Volleyball 🏐 team has the night off but Tuesday is Volleyball night so there was three choices – Alleghany @ Glenvar, James River @ Patrick County or Floyd County @ Radford….

Normally when I have to make a tough call I just let Kris Richardson tell me where to go but we all know how busy BossMan stays so I just chose to wing it.

My fourth Senior Night 🌙 out of a possible seven in the District. The 20:00 countdown clock ⏰ wasn’t started until 5:30 so we will start closer to 6pm tonight.

Marion Harris reached out earlier today with some Big News for Callie and the Family 👪. It turns out that the youngest of the trio of daughters will have a solo effort tonight 👏 as the Chorus performs on the Hill! We are hoping to hear from Marion later tonight with his take on the evening. Already looking forward to seeing that come across.

Our Friend Kevin Burress is patiently awaiting the schedule 📅 for this weekend as his Lady 👩 Swat Softball U-14 team will be playing in their final event for the Calender year up in Dublin at Randolph Park. I am little bummed on the timing as we will be in Tallahassee this weekend. We won’t be able to see them play in person but hope to share as much about the tournament as possible.

Getting ready to start the Volleyball 🏐 here and we will keep an eye 👁 on other things as the Bobcats and Buffaloes tangle.

It’s almost like Mama Petty is in the building !

First Serve at 5:55

The opening set was quite possibly the most balanced set I’ve seen this year at any level.

Floyd County prevails 25-23 and six of the points went back and forth forever or so it seemed. Buf🐃 went on a 10-2 run 🏃‍♂️ that took the score from 5-7 to 15-9 and hung on for the Win (6:21)

Set #2 – Radford jumps out to an 11-3 lead. But they lead Game 1 11-4 but Floyd County snuck back in before falling. This time Radford keeps the MOJO, pushing the lead out to 18-3 (TO).

Kudos to Floyd County after falling behind 22-3 the visitors strung together a 6-2 spurt before falling 25-9 (8:15pm)

8:38 – Radford closes out Floyd County 3-0 (19,9,16)

8:43 – Glenvar closes out Alleghany 3-1, winning the last two 25-13 & 25-12 !

Will try and locate the results from the 3rd mat h of the night – James River @ Patrick County once I make it back to Laurel Fork.

Alleghany 10-2 & Done

James River and Glenvar both 6-5

Carroll County and Radford both 8-3

Patrick and Floyd County both 1-11 & done.
