Thursday night 🌙 had four Cavalier events – 2 covered by the Nesters & 2 by the Carters. Let’s start with the Football 🏈🏈🏈 and then the Volleyball 🏐

Donna & Rick were outdoors keeping an eye 👁 👀 on both the Middle School 🏫 🏈 and the Junior Varsity 🏈. The Fighting Toblers came up on the short end of the scoreboard against Floyd County but the JV squad played lights out against the Buffaloes.

Final score in the nightcap was 41-13 in favor of the Cavaliers.

The Dance 💃 Team took Center Stage during the Halftime show!

The score was 7-6 when Carroll County ran off 34 straight points to put the game away.

The Varsity Football 🏈🏈🏈 team travels over to Floyd tomorrow night 🌙 for their contest with the Buffaloes.

Switching to Volleyball 🏐

Junior Varsity Volleyball 🏐 team was playing their final Home 🏡 match for the season against Patrick County. Jason Petty’s young squad got off to a fast start as they captured Set #1 26-24 by scoring 3 straight to close it out.

PCHS raced out to a 16-5 lead in Set #2 but CCHS wouldn’t go away quietly. The Cavaliers rallied back in a Big Way before falling 25-19, forcing a Winner Take All 3rd set.

Patrick County raced out to a 7-1 lead in the deciding Set. Our Ladies tried to battle back before falling 15-7.

The pre-match Ceremony for the JV Match included all of the Parents standing on the Court beside their Daughters !

Varsity started out a little slow 🐌, to the point of facing a set point in the opening Set. Trailing 24-23, our Lady 👩 Cavaliers turned up the volume in a big way. A 4-1 stretch to take the opener 27-25 and then rolled from there, closing out the match with 25-15 & 25-14 wins.

Captains meeting

After the Match Coach Edwards capped the night 🌙 with her Post Match Prayer Circle 🔵

Tonight the Circle included both squads and both referees.

Our Lady 👩 Cavalier Volleyball 🏐 Seniors take a curtain call tonight when we welcome Patrick County to the Hill ! Plus JV Volleyball & Middle School Football 🏈🏈🏈 appear on the Network Email 📧

Two nights 🌙 after celebrating Senior Night in front of a near capacity Gymnasium our 7 Seniors get to have a Last Dance 💃 in their friendly confines. There’s still a solid chance that the Cavs will host a First Round Regional tournament match here in a couple of weeks but for tonight its the final guaranteed Match.

One more last chance, one more last dance as I try to channel my inner Donna Summer. If you are looking for something to do on a Thursday night 🌙 here’s a great option !

Next Tuesday is a Bye spot for CCHS and then on Thursday night 🌙 the team heads up to Radford for a second place showdown with the Bobcats in the regular season finale.

Carroll County (12-6, 7-3) looks to continue their quest to make a deep post season run 🏃‍♂️ and you have an opportunity to send them off in style.
