A large number of people I interact with here in Carroll County speak of an impressive Lady 👩 named Vickey Ritchie. Somehow I have never been introduced to her and I’m now on a Mission to change that fact.

Signing up was fairly easy !!!!

Today while I out at the Cross Country meet with Coach Shawn Montgomery and his Band of dedicated Runners 🏃‍♂️ I noticed two signs that I feel pretty sure belong to Vickey but there’s a catch. The event is Saturday morning, EARLY, Saturday morning 🌄 (7:30) but if that’s what it takes to meet my new HERO then so be it….

Or, maybe Allen Worrell, Ron Cochran or Greg Talley or anyone else who knows this hard working, extremely dedicated Lady could tell her that she has a Fan that wants to meet her before 7:30 am Saturday that would be Awesome !

In roughly 90 minutes Wednesday night 🌙 will become Thursday morning 🌄 and we will be clear to Post the final installment of the Lady 👩 Swat Softball U-14 team ! In between now & then let’s just enjoy the show that the Aces are putting on (78-55, late 3rd) in the WNBA Championship.

Marion Harris let’s us know that Adrienne picked up an Assist in Emory & Henry 3-3 tie down at Tusculum. Congratulations 👏 to Ms. Harris and her Wasps Soccer ⚽️ team !

Each of the 13 young Ladies and their Families will receive copies 1-26.

Copies 27-31 stay with the Folks that handled the completion of the book – including one for the Library of Congress.

Copies #32- 36 will go to the five Photography related Groups that generously provided Photos 📷.

Copies 37 – 40 will be presented to the Coaching Staff and support team.

We promised to Thank each & everyone 🙏 who helped us get our Project across the Finish Line!!!

We have also purchased an additional 100 books 📚 that will be made available through Allen Worrell at The Carroll News and Mr. Ron Cochran at Omega. These two Kind Gentlemen will be creating a list of 4 Local Charity organizations for folks to make a minimum donation of $20.00 – 100% of the Money 💰 will go directly to the Charity of your choice !

Everything is set to begin for a Night 🌙 of Hope & Faith here at the Cavaliers Football / Soccer Stadium 🏟. The weather is continuing to try and cooperate but it is Mid-October. If you’re not familiar with the Event or its history I encourage you to scroll back a few stories to get caught up with what will be taking place here over the balance of the evening.

I had the pleasure of meeting Zack Vaughan (responsible for the Mountain Empire Region for the FCA) the first time this evening and look forward to working with his group more as we continue our efforts of trying hard to make the World 🌎 a Better Place!

The concession stand is open and there is no charge for admission to the event so if you’re at the House and looking for a place to go just Let God show you 🙏 the way !

Mr. Tickle shared his story and then turned the microphone 🎤 over to others who were willing to also share their paths that led them to God.

The evening ended with Circle 🔵 around Midfield and a Group Prayer.

Such a Blessing for all that shared 🙏 in the Evening !

The weather is trying its best to cooperate and each of the Schools 🏫 appear to be here at Hillsville Elementary. The format will be slightly different in that All Runners 🏃‍♂️ will be starting at the same time (5pm).

And they’re off !

The early Finishers have crossed the Finish Line now…Carroll County’s Davis Reitzel takes 2nd overall. Total number of combined Runners 🏃‍♂️ is

You can’t Run a Cross Country Race without a friendly face policing the Highway cross walk.

Next stop ✋ for these 3 Young Ladies is 6pm Cheer !

5:34 pm – The final runners 🏃‍♂️ are completing the course now.

How do Cavaliers celebrate after running 🏃‍♂️ 3+ miles ? Naturally, by running 🏃‍♂️ some more !
