While one dealing with the masses is never suppose to have Favorites, I am a Huge Fan of Coach Shawn Montgomery 💙

Cross Country is similar to Swimming 🏊‍♂️ and maybe Wrestling, in that they have a Community all to themselves. Every time I get to visit a Cross Country event it feels like I am traveling back in time to a place where Folks just got along, even while competing against one another.

The reason I get to wonder around at these events like a Kid in a Candy 🍬 Store is because when the dust settles I know that I’m going to open an email 📧 from Coach and it will include everything I need to shine a light on his and his Wife’s Student Athletes.

The venue in Woodlawn looks like a weekend retreat as its full of 🚌 🚌 (14 Bus count) and team tents ⛺

We have runners 🏃‍♂️ competing at 5 separate levels and Coach knows that when he has the list we will include each and every person who put on the uniform and competed.

A great example is that I was standing at the Finish Line when Davis Reitzel crossed over in 16th place but while Reitzel recorded the Top Cavs Finish in the Varsity meet we want to hear about how ALL of our Student Athletes faired.

Everyone Loves 💘 a Great tearjerking Story, right ???Here’s one that has a priceless ending after a 9 month adventure out in Laurel Fork, Virginia

The tale is storybook – two individuals that are at different places in life stumble across one another because of the things they have in common. The village that the live in, the Love they have for their spouses, the special relationships they each have with their two daughters ❤. Let’s not forget their unbridled affection for Duke University!

Nine months after the relationship begins they await patiently for Doctor Nancy to come into the waiting room and tell them the news that they would soon be holding a little Bundle of Joy!

Yesterday, Dr. Nancy did just that and our lives will never be the same! While I have spent most of my Adult Life teaming up with my youngest Daughter so its not out of character to take unnecessary risks to try and bring Joy to others. In that same time I have never met a Man 👨who jumped into a project with both feet in the manner that Kris Richardson has in working with me on this book 📖! While I’m a wordsmith by trade its hard to describe the sacrifice shown by the person that I am very proud to call a Friend.

This is what they call in the Business – a tease as its one of 100+ pages of content. Our “Baby” still isn’t ready for public viewing but when it is Please remember 🙏 one thing – While my Wife Linda and Daughter Rebecca have spent a lifetime riding on my Train of passion, Paula, Ashton and Kris were partners in this long and winding adventure.

It will be up to Bossman and the 13 Ladies on how they want to celebrate their Moment but I look forward to being in the room.

Volleyball 🏐 sits at 8-4 overall after impressive four match winning streak with 3 matches next week

Next week will be a busy, busy one as the Lady 👩 Cavaliers face 3 opponents – including two of the three teams that bested the team earlier this season.

Marion comes to town on Monday night and Coach Edwards will look to earn to split the Season Series with the visitors in a Non-District match.

Tuesday Night will be the first of two matches with Radford as the Lady 👩 Cavaliers return to Three Rivers District play. CCHS currently sits at 4-1 in league play with Radford being the only team the Cavs have yet to face.

Thursday Night 🌙 could be the match of the year up at Alleghany. The freshly renamed Cougars defeated our Cavs on the Hill but we played the match without an injured Madison Lyons. Defeat AHS and the District Championship is still in play but a second setback would make catching AHS almost impossible.

Three opportunities to cheer on our Highly entertaining group of Volleyball 🏐 players!

We have our next two Volleyball 🏐 Introduction ceremonies planned now with Back to Back Home 🏡 matches next week… Celebrating Grandparents and Besties!

Monday night 🌙 will be Grandparents Night 🌙 as the Top Photo 📷 shows the Harris Family 👪 and Tuesday Night 🌙 the take will be Besties Night 🌙 – see lower photo 📷.

Normally we have two days in between matches but with them coming on consecutive days there’s a need to announce them together.

Monday night we will be inviting all Grandparents to stand next to their Granddaughter during the pre-match introductions.

Tuesday Night 🌙 each of our Lady 👩 Cavaliers will invite two people that matter a great deal to them (Besties) for the Ceremony…..
