Middle School 🏫 Volleyball 🏐 kicks off tonight’s Triple Header and our youngest group of Lady 👩 Cavaliers have the Gymnasium floor. Carroll County captured the opening set (25-21) and currently lead set #2, 14-11!
20 players make up the roster for our up and coming team. We will be in the Gym all evening and will also try and track down some Golf ⛳ results as well.

Five Hours of Volleyball 🏐 as the teams combined to play 9 sets with Radford taking the night 🌙, 5-4. Pretty much as close as it can be !
Not one but two Cavaliers were in the Gym Monday night !

In addition to Hawaiian Night we celebrated Grandparents Night 🌙 with all of those in attendance joining the Ladies on the court for introductions !
Our Junior Varsity team continues to improve with each match. Last night Marion won the match 2-0 (25-14, 25-23). In the second set the Cavs rallied from 24-17, scoring 6 straight before falling short on the final play.
The Varsity started just a little slow 🐌 in trying to avenge an early season loss to the Hurricane 🌀.
Cavs trailed 15-5 before they regrouped and boy, did they regroup. CCHS fought all the way back to a 24-24 tie before falling 26-24 in the opening set.
Our Lady 👩 Cavaliers shook off the setback and went on to capture the next 3 sets (25-21, 25-18 & 25-18), moving to 9-4 on the season.
Zero turnaround time as the Radford Bobcats come to the Hill tonight at 5:30 as CCHS returns to Three Rivers District play.

Head Coach Rick Nester and visiting Alan Knight have combined to have led young Student Athletes for over eight decades. The two local Legends share a moment ahead of practice.
It would appear that we have twelve at practice today as the Monday night 🌙 VB match and a few other after school 🏫 activities limiting the turnout just a bit.
We will be here until its time to head across the street before the starting point of the JV match
Marion High School 🏫 is our guests tonight in the Gym. The visitors bested the Varsity and the JV down at their place earlier this season and we have hopes of returning the favor tonight.

There was a tremendous amount 👏 of Good that took place yesterday out here in Laurel Fork at the Olde Mill Golf ⛳ Resort !!!
Chase & Alyssa Robinson are now at the helm of our Carroll County High School Golf program and Sunday was a day of Community Love 💘 as folks from a variety of skill levels played a round of Golf in a 4-Man Scramble.
This photo 📷 here is the seven local heroes that signed up to help us help the Robinsons raise funds for the equipment that needs to be acquired for our program. While we had 150 years or so of Coaching experience in our Golf ⛳ carts we knew our Mission was to show support and have Fellowship amongst the Eight of us.
Flashing back to Dick Van Patten and the Television 📺 show – Eight is Enough, we jumped into our carts after 60 minutes of swapping stories about the things we have in common. No wasted time on warming up or getting loose because we knew that Eight wouldn’t be enough to hang with the serious Golfers that also showed up to support our Cavaliers Golf team!
Here are a couple of the real Golf Teams that were sharing the Course with the Gang that couldn’t hit straight straight.
The Cavalier Community rallied around its new Golf Coach / Couple 💑 and the day was a tremendous success 👏. From the grilling of the pre-golf meal to crossing the Finish Line just after 6pm, a good time was had for a Great cause!

In a few hours Rick Nester will be holding Softball practice and just after that Cindy Edwards will be Coaching Volleyball 🏐 in the Gymnasium – I’m hoping that they are both taking ibuprofen today.
My own ability to walk into the Gym tonight is in question as the combination of driving 🚗 non-stop back from Connecticut and going straight to a Golf ⛳ Cart for five hours has me in a fogged state of mind and in need of medication 💊.
Thank You to all of our group ❤ for showing up and participating in an event that was way out of their element. I will tell Mr. Leonard that he could have worn his UNC windbreaker in front of me – God loves everyone!
