Before we get started about an exciting weekend down here on Tobacco Road let’s take a look at the Cavaliers vs Knights ahead of our folks making the trip up to Buchanan tonight.
Carroll County (1-4) at James River (3-2) is one of the games were the records don’t reflect what they should. Our Cavaliers team has dropped four straight contests after opening the season with a road win. But each of the four games hung in the balance all the way up to the Final horn!
Last week was a great example of CCHS pushing an opponent to their brink before ultimately falling 26-17 to Patrick County. The Cougars went a perfect 4 of 4 in the second half on 4th down conversions in scoring 20 points over the final two quarters.
One of the challenges that our Cavaliers team will face tonight figures to be a Big Crowd because if JRHS is anything its a tight knit Community that bleeds for their Knights. The number of fans that showed up for their Softball games throughout their run to the State Finals was beyond impressive.
Fun Question for the Day – Do the folks up there feel the same way about driving π to Carroll County as we do about driving to Buchanan ? Just wondering…..
Here’s hoping that our Cavaliers can get a Win tonight π and they can build on it throughout the second half of their season !
I feel safe in saying that I will be the only one watching π Carroll County vs James River from inside Carter-Finley Stadium π !
Go Cavs !
The Circus πͺ is in Town !
Wait long enough and anything can happen!
First things First –
Six hours until Kickoff !
If you are heading up to JRHS tonight – Godspeed on your journey and pictures π· from up there are Welcome π
