Top10 reasons for leaving Laurel Fork 🍴and heading out to Alleghany High School 🏫 for a regular season Volleyball 🏐 Match

Reason #10 – Getting to stop ✋ at Fazolli’s in Dublin (Exit 98). If you get back quick enough this can be reason #11 as well!

Reason #9 – Some villages have cool 😎 names and others have scenic views. Eagle Rock has both!

Reason #8 – The views of the James River

Reason #7 – IRON GATE – simply a throw back to a past time when things were simpler, or atleast in my imagination.

Reason #6 – The rugged terrain along US-220 North

Reason #5 – Penny’s Diner at the Low Moor Exit. The place is small but they could a great job of taking their customers back in time.

Reason #4 –

Our Junior Varsity team continues to improve under the guidance of Coach Jason Petty 💙

Reason #3 – The lady 👩 on the right will have one or two Tootsie Pops for me during the match and the one on the Left keeps the one on the right in check.

Reason #2 – This group of Young Ladies are near and dear to me. What better way can one show appreciation than going out to the Boonies to cheer them on !!!

Before #1, I have to Thank the following 🙏 people for making my trip possible….

Shawn Montgomery – knowing that Coach will send me coverage for his Student Athletes.

Kevin Burress – Kevin will capture both halves of our Softball team double header.

Donna Nester – Donna will keep us informed of the JV Football game….

Now the #1 reason I committed half a day and 250+ miles to attend our Match tonight…

To stand next to this Lady 👩❤

Welcome to a Busy, Busy Thursday in the Land of Cavaliers ! 6 teams will be in Action 🎬, playing 7 games at 4 different venues in 2 States. Using Math is both Fun & Educational…..

Varsity Volleyball 🏐 and Junior Varsity Volleyball 🏐 start the second half of the Three Rivers District schedule in grand fashion as they make everyone’s FAVORITE District trek ! Headed to the Highlands is what I like to call it

The drive up and over can be almost enjoyable on a clear day but the drive 🚗 back is in the dark and its at the end of a very long day.

CCHS (9-5, 4-2) will be looking to start the second half of their Three Rivers District schedule 📅 on a strong note against the home standing Cougars of AHS.

Jason Petty and his JV Squad will take the VB court first tonight at AHS. The ever so young team has continued to grow as the season plays out.

Next up on today’s docket is our Boys 👦 and Girls 👧 Cross Country teams are crossing the Border for a meet down at North Stokes, North Carolina. We look forward to hearing all about the efforts from both teams once Coach Montgomery gets them back to the Commonwealth of Virginia. I think its safe to say they will be running 🏃‍♂️🏃‍♀️ in much cooler weather today.

Do your best to ignore the two screen shots that appear next because sometimes technology is not ones friend !

Rounding out or schedule is the Softball program as they will be hosting a Round Robin event tonight with Floyd County and Pulaski County at Cavalier Park.

Each of the three teams will two games with the time limits being four innings or 60 minutes, whichever happens first.

We will do our best to corral all of the results from the four venues and share them with our readers later tonight!
