GW – Opening drive 🚗 is now inside of the Cavs Red Zone in part to a long pass play and a horse collar tackle. CCHS defense trying to keep the home team out of the end zone but eventually a QB sneak makes it 6-7, 7-7
UVA plays the opening 2+ minutes like World 🌎 Champs. First they stuff the Temps opening drive and quickly connect on a 49 yard pass play ahead of a short TD run 🏃♂️. UVA 7-0 before 3 minutes have been played.
CCHS – opening possession underway! The Cavs quickly move the chains ⛓. Cavs use an early timeout ahead of second down.
Maryland comes up empty on their second possession. UVA ball.
Carroll facing third and long – incomplete pass and now the punt team comes out on the field.38 yard punt and now Carroll returns to defense.
GW is running a pro style offense and their QB is not shy about throwing the football all over the field. Their second drive is now across midfield.

GW kicking off from the 40…Carroll to start at the 28 after the Manning return. Loss of yards on 1st down play (2 & 12) Isiah Easter with a 74 yard catch & run TD, highlighted by a great juke move at the end !!!!!!!! New Game at 21-21….
At the same time Maryland scores on a deep pass play to take a 21-14 lead over UVA.
GW returns kickoff to its 40 but its moved back to the 29. Come on Defense !!!
GW – moves the chains ⛓ on a power run. Flags 🏳are moving GW backwards. And repeat that last thought…… Nice run 🏃♂️ gets them back to needing 10 yards. Reverse on 3rd &10 gains 8 but another penalty moves it back. 4 flags in a flurry but GW connects on a 59 yard TD pass. PAT makes it 28-21.
But there’s no quit in Carroll County !!!! One more Drive needed…. CCHS 🏈 at their 32 – need 68 yards. Smoot gains 4 on 1st down, Flag – on Carroll…. 2nd & 11 – Nathaniel Dalton (#34) busts out for 30+ yards !!!!

Carroll displayed a great deal of spirit and went toe 2 toe on the road once again but fell just short. More to follow on the Carroll County game but for now the focus is back on the other Cavaliers. 3:05 left in the 3rd with Maryland up 21-14.
True Freshman QB Anthony Colandrea is a fun watch. Cavs trying hard to tie it up after giving up 21 straight. 3rd & 23 from the 37 works for 25, what a play call – END of 3rd Quarter (9:32)
