My, Oh, My – Carroll County Volleyball 🏐 takes down the 2-Time 🏆🏆 Champs at Glenvar !!!!

After dropping the first set and trailing 24-18 in the second set, the Lady Cavaliers rolled off eight straight points to claim a 26-24 victory and after that it was just a night 🌙 to remember for everyone connected with our Volleyball 🏐 program !!!

Sophomore Callie Harris lit up the Highlanders from the service line during the 8-0 run 🏃‍♂️. Alyssa Ervin and Madison Lyons took turns Hulk Smashing but it was anything but a two person show ! More will follow in the coming days !!

Carroll County 3, Glenvar 1 is your final score !

Set #1 tied at 7-7, Madison Lyons makes it 8-7.

Glenvar takes the opening set 25-18, closing it out with an 8-2 run.

Aza Petty has served us out to a 4-0 lead with the run including an Ace & an Alyssa Ervin smash.

Sadly, scoreboard went from 4-0 to 1-1 because of a rotation issue. Now 4-3 Cavs after an Ervin smash.

Cavs7-6, gave 4 four straight then scored 5 straight (3 Aces from Callie Harris) to lead 12-10.

14 All, then 14-16 & Coach Edwards takes a TO

Coach uses her second TO to try and stop an 8-1 run, Cavs down 21-15.

Fighting hard, the Cavs have pulled within 24-22 and Glenvar calls a TO!!!

Two more Harris serves and Ervin finishes 💪 have it at 24-24. Glenvar uses 2nd TO !!! Petty makes it 25-24 us

HUGE WIN after 8-0 finish !!!!! Harris finishes it with another ACE !!!! WOW 👏

The contest did not go in the favor of Carroll County but we appreciate the effort 👏 just the same !

While sitting in at Ron’s shop I met Ricky Reece and he mentioned that QB Hunter Gravely connected three times with WR Conner Reece for roughly 50 yards.

Thursday presents a number of opportunities to Cheer on some Cavaliers ! Cross Country heads down to Dobson, Volleyball 🏐 sends the JV & the Varsity up to Glenvar and Softball continues its Fall Schedule

Our Cross Country team will compete for the second time this year down at Fisher River Park down in Dobson, NC

Glenvar is the two time defending State Champs in Class 2 Volleyball 🏐 and they should prove to be quite the test for both of our Lady 👩 Cavalier squads.

We hope to be able to share results later today from all three events.
