What kind of a week has it been ? Great strides in the Right direction 👏 for our Goal of providing a 100% Positive Landing Spot for our Student Athletes ! Subtitle : We will get by with a Little help from our Friends

Sitting at the Gate in Charlotte with a smile on my face as I reflect back on the just concluded week. Sometimes progress is not measurable but this week I can point to a half dozen or so examples of Folks helping out for no other reason than they could…..

Shana Parnell – while we still haven’t met face to face, our new Art Teacher was quick to step up to the plate as we were trying to create props for our Volleyball team.

Shana and I have one common thought process in that we are both Big Fans of the young Ladies on our VB team.

Kevin Burress is a kind soul that I only met on Monday evening while hanging out with Coach Nester’s Softball ladies. Yet, less than 24 hours later he willingly set next to me at the Scorers table and played the role of The Incredible Hulk.

After spending a couple of hours with Shawn Montgomery, his wife and all of their Cross Country teams I have even a greater respect for his efforts and look forward to providing Top Shelf coverage for ALL of his Runners 🏃‍♂️.

Chase Robinson is our new Golf ⛳ Coach and I appreciate his energy. Coach took 30 minutes at the end of a very long day to chat about his plans for CCHS golf ⛳. Looking forward to working with him in regards to the Fund Raising golf event on September 17th.

Next up – my Man Alan Worrell…We were both at the Cross Country meet and I have a serious case of Camera 📷 envy where Alan is concerned. Knowing he would take 100 pictures that day and only use 3 I asked about the leftovers. The next day I found a wonderful gift 🎁 in my email 📧 and it allowed us to create a bonus Post 📫 with them.

As if being Athletic Director wasn’t enough of a challenge let’s add Assistant Principal to the daily duties of this hard working man. On Wednesday he was directing traffic on US-221 for the Cross Country meet. Still took the time to exchange some thoughts with me about our plans going forward.

Cindy Edwards – Cindy followed in the Footsteps of Rick Nester by reaching out to me and asking us to make her Gymnasium more fun for her dedicated team. It takes a great deal of Trust to head down that path and we are 2/9 into it and will continue to add to the mix each Home 🏡 match!

Addie’s Grandmother 👵 was a blessing at Rick’s Softball diamond 💎🙏 and added to her legend of kindness when I asked her to play the role of a helpless Little Old Lady for our Assist Sign.

My Boss man 👨 Kris Richardson makes this all possible and we appreciate his efforts. Even on days he makes me go to Minneapolis…

Let’s close it out with Ben Tickle and Marion Harris. Mr. Tickle took the time to give me an update on the Football victory at the end of a long, long day! It was greatly appreciated.

Marion Harris was the first one to jump on a Train 🚆 and it was him that knew the Art Teacher.

The goal is and always has been to provide a Positive Place where someone can go to at no cost (EVER), sip their Coffee and check out the happenings of current, previous and future Cavaliers. Well into Year 3 now and this past week was the most assistance we have received in a given week !!!!!!!

It takes a Village, to borrow a phrase and we are always searching for more Volunteers!!!

Time to Board the Flight ✈️, have a Blessed Day and if you were mentioned in this Post know you made a difference !!!!!!!!!
