Two rather impressive Carroll County High Alums have a Highlanders connection this week – Adrienne Harris and Ashton Richardson will both be in Radford tomorrow night πŸŒ™

One of these impressive πŸ‘ young Ladies will be in town for a night while the other will be there for a wee bit longer but they are both following a Great Path.

Ms. Harris is the oldest of the three daughters that Shelia and Marion Harris have shared so openly with the Carroll County Sports community. Her Emory & Henry Wasps Soccer ⚽️ team is set to play up a division (D1 vs D2) against the home standing Radford squad on the Highlanders pitch.

The game is set for 7pm and will be broadcast on ESPN+. Most High School 🏫 Athletes play the games they enjoyed growing up and do so for the sheer joy. A select few get the privilege of playing the game on a College Campus and that number gets even smaller when you count up the number of times it takes place in front of a Television πŸ“Ί audience.

Harris is focused on the bigger picture πŸ“· in life as she finishes up your College education with the plan being to return to Carroll County and give back to others in the Community. This year she will have another task down at E & H as she gets to play big Sis to Natalie as the middle Daughter has started school 🏫 down there as well.

I am overly impressed with this young lady πŸ‘© and I am looking forward to sitting in the stands when she makes her TV debut. Whether see nets a Goal or not Harris will be able to tell her Grandkids that she played Soccer on TV!

Our second former Cavalier will be spending a little bit longer in Radford as Richardson just began classes at the University. Pictured here holding a Snake 🐍 big enough to make Indiana Jones soil himself, Richardson just returned from a Mission trip to Peru πŸ‡΅πŸ‡ͺ.

This past Sunday morning πŸŒ„ we were fortunate enough to listen to Richardson briefly talk about what the experience in Peru was like and her perspective on the 10 day trek was enlightening to both Lin & I.

I would also assume that your first day of College at Radford is considerably less intimidating after 10 days on another Continent.

One of them is coming up for an evening while the other will be hanging around for a spell but one things for sure, these two young Ladies are just getting started on their paths and there’s no telling what they might accomplish !

I am left to wonder if being on TV πŸ“Ί will change things forever…………
