The Smartest Man in Carroll County sent me on a Basketball πŸ€ Mission that will include attending Games in Louisville, Kentucky were Alyssa Ervin is competing with the Virginia Outlaws!

Kris Richardson is a wise, wise man πŸ‘¨ and last night πŸŒ™ I went searching for the next story. In a manor that would make Yoda proud Kris pointed me in the direction of Louisville, Kentucky and a Basketball πŸ€ themed Trek was created.

The first stop βœ‹ in the Hoops only Loop takes place in New Castle, Indiana. This is the Home for the Indiana Basketball πŸ€ Hall of Fame. The building sits next door πŸšͺ to the largest High School 🏫 Gymnasium in the Country. Let the adventure begin !!

One of the first things is a 17 minute film with Larry Bird, Oscar Robertson, Steve Alford, Damon Bailey, George McGinnis and others sharing their roles in the History of Hoosier High School Basketball πŸ€.

The gentleman working in the museum simply could not have been a better Ambassador for everything that is Indiana Basketball. His combination of knowledge and kindness was nothing short of Amazing.

One of the highlights of the visit was the display where a visitor is given the opportunity the hit the game winning shot on a regulation size basket with a game clock ⏰ ticking down. For the price of one quarter you get to try and create your own version of Bobby Plumb’s buzzer beater that was made famous by the Gene Hackman film “Hoosiers “. Proud to report that I went 2 of 4 at the exhibit, earning a ribbon pictured above.

The experience of visiting the Hall of Fame in New Castle, Indiana might be the Best $4.00 that I have been in a long time !
