Tonight the Varsity Baseball βΎοΈ, Varsity Softball and JV Softball teams will make the Loop up to James River while the JV Baseball βΎοΈ team will stay back to defend the fort. Both Varsity games will begin at 5pm as will the JV Baseball game while the JV Softball game will begin shortly after the Varsity game concludes.
Carroll County (6-0) and James River (8-0) sit atop the Three Rivers District Softball standings with one common opponent in Glenvar. Back on April 4th the Cavaliers won at Glenvar 10-1 while JRHS defeated the Highlanders 12-0.
Monday night π was Soccer β½οΈ Night between the two schools π« and while both Varsity teams battled hard to the end, the Knights swept the Cavaliers 3-0 by scores of 4-3, 1-0 and 3-0.
The second half started out in the same manner as the first half ended but still the score remained 0-0.
The Cavaliers remained on the attack for the majority of the second half but right as it appeared that regulation would end Nil – Nil James River slid a goal into the net inside the final minute of play for the 1-0 victory.
The team Bus π pulled in at 6:04 pm and departed at 9:05pm. The Best Guess on arrival time back on the Hill would be shortly after 11pm, pending on when the stop for Food came on the way back.
This group of young Ladies were well Coached and played hard from start to finish on a chili night along way from Home π‘. On a day that lasted close to 18 hours from Front Door πͺ to Front Door πͺ the team did their School proud and them some.
