When is a Byline more than just a Byline ?

Found a pleasant surprise at the Laurel Fork Post Office this morning in the form of the Latest edition of the Carroll County News. If I were to Hazzard a guess as to the number of times I’ve had a Byline in print over the past four decades the number would land between Five and Ten Thousand. Enough times that I don’t include my name of anything I write on any of our three sites.

What makes an article about a High School Softball game in a weekly Newspaper πŸ“° so important ? When we came up with the idea to try and Launch a small town version of an ESPN type of production there was a list of 10 items that where vital to it ever seeing the light of day with #4 being the need to form some level of partnership with the Local Newspaper.

The goal being to work together with the Sports Editor in hopes of getting all of the Coverage possible about our Student Athletes distributed to as many readers as possible. Today checks that Box πŸ“¦ with room to spare!

Alan Worrell does a terrific job πŸ‘ with limited resources to provide top notch coverage and ANYTHING that we can do to support his efforts we will happily do.

Alan becomes the fourth checked Box β˜‘ out of Ten. #Progress

9 events in One Day for the Cavaliers – Looks like everything but a Track Meet

Folks will have plenty of contests to choose from this afternoon and evening as 9 separate games /matches are slated for Carroll County High School.

We will do our best to gather as much of the results as possible tonight after the conclusion of the final event. Feel pretty confident that we will have 2 Softball scores and Girls Soccer ⚽️ and Boys πŸ‘¦ Tennis 🎾. The hope will be that we can get some feedback from the others.
