Retracing the Storyline for the Carroll County Lady Cavaliersπ©

One of what I am sure is many, Paul’s Son-in-Law has been a key cog in the development of the current group of young Ladies that make up the 10 player roster for Coach Mark Motley. In trying to trace the path backwards to see π just what it takes to create a team with the skill set that the 2022-2023 of has, the journey led me to the livingroom of Paul’s Daughter, which happens to be the home (Paul’s Granddaughter) of one of the six Seniors on this year’s team.
The giant step from never having won a State Title in Girls Basketball π to being within 10 days of possibly repeating said Title is impressive to say the least and it would appear that the start of the run happened a full decade ago. DECADE – which in this case is well over half their lives.

One of the questions involved with the telling of a great story is when does one start telling the story?
The difference for me is that even if CCHS were to fail to win one of the Final three contests I don’t think that it diminishes the story in the slightest. I also know that I’m in the minority with that thought but that’s the corner of the World π that I choose to live in.
The amount of pride that this group gives the Community that surrounds the school on the Hill is unmeasurable but there’s no arguing with the size of the crowd that made its way into the Gym last Saturday or the number of folks currently trying to figure out how early they need to head out on Friday night for the Spotswood game at Pulaski County High School.
Ten years is a long time to chase a dream for a person at any point in their life but to have accomplished that while a teenager is simply remarkable. This is a special, special group of Student Athletes that has done their School, Coach, Parents very Proud. I comfortable with Celebrating their accomplishments NOW and then if they do win three more games I’m pretty sure that there will be no shortage of folks wanting to join the Party.
That part about how early does one need to leave for Pulaski on Friday, looking at it is an actual problem – but its a problem that everyone should be fortunate to have.
Editors Note -:If you’re new to the stories then the Paul references will be lost on you so you might have to read backwards.
