Carroll County and Spotswood both moved one step closer to their Annual Post Season match-up tonight with impressive victories. Their opponents for Saturday night will be determined shortly and posted here once they are known.

Still waiting on the other two finals…

Next up for Carroll County

Turner Ashby played the Bulldogs tough but fall 53-41. Saturday night will have Spotswood @ Liberty Christian Academy

34:00 minutes until Tip !

20:00 minutes on the Clock ⏰

Warriors (22-5) vs Cavaliers (23-1)

Tip at 6:08pm

CCHS 10-3 @ TO 5:25 (1)
2nd TO (2:52 1st), 18-3
Warriors scored first 2 points, then 18-1

Here’s what we know at Halftime – the Warriors, their fanbase and cheer squad aren’t going to go quietly in to the night. The action has gotten a touch physical and the exchanges between the fan bases is amped us as well.
Hopefully everything 🙏 remains civil and we are treated to 16 more minutes of quality hoops.
Magna Vista’s Coach has worked on one of the three referees for most of the first half, give your credit for setting an example to her players. She believes in them and they see her fighting for them.
Moments away from the 3rd quarter (6:58)
SECOND HALF —-
Early TO. 6:29, 46-13
CCHS TO – 2:48 (3rd) 54-17
Warriors fouls are getting close to Flagrant under the basket, repeatedly.
Sadly, with 1:30 remaining in the third quarter we are on the cusp of a Friendly environment.

Substitute TO – under 3 minutes, 72-32

737pm – That’s a wrap, with your Final score 75-39!
In short , our Student Section got the best of their fan base which in turn made our fan base have to retaliate. Sad, but we live to play another Day!
Captain Positive here, trying to end a great night on a great note – the pregame buzz in the building was special and the first half was highly enjoyable! But you shouldn’t have to watch a second half of a Basketball game with an overwhelming concern for the safety of the players. That just shouldn’t happen, ever.

It has been 11 months, two weeks and counting since the Lady Cavaliers celebrated in Richmond last season after claiming the teams first State Championship in Basketball. Every moment that followed has been about one thing and one thing only – Let’s Run It Back!
I’m not sure who was the first person to actually speak the words outloud but it would appear that the entire squad has embraced the thought..
In just under two hours the Gymnasium doors will open up ahead of the 6:00pm tip in the Region 3D Semi-final game between the Cavaliers and the visiting team from Magna Vista. Theses two teams met back in December with the Cavaliers claiming a decisive victory.
The Lottery has a clever tag line in “The Lottery, you can’t win if you Don’t play.” Well, you can’t defend your State Title if you Don’t make the State Tournament. Our Cavaliers will punch their ticket with one more W tonight. The victory might be a formality but joining Meridian and Brentsville District in the Big Dance still needs to happen and I’m pretty sure that a decent amount of the County is looking to share in the Joy of what feels inevitable to many.
Win tonight and live to Defend another Day but with this Special group of young Ladies I feel pretty confident that will be plenty more Hoops to play after tonight. Let’s hope that everyone 🙏 stays healthy and Coach Mark Motley and his team can be making plans for practice tomorrow!

A late season injury kept Bayliegh from her usual #34 jersey but here’s Ms. Allen & Family 👪
