After shaking off a Quiet start the Lady Cavaliers take care of business, 55-25 @ Alleghany

CCHS Ladies Basketball made its annual trek up to Alleghany Tuesday night and rolled to a 55-25 victory over the Mountaineers. Jaelyn Hagee led a balanced attack with 15 points which included scoring 10 straight to open the second half as the Cavaliers dominated the middle two quarters by a combined score of 44-12.

Hagee wasn’t alone in having her own mini run as both Kaylee Easter and Alyssa Ervin had moments in the second quarter. Easter went first by scoring eight of her 13 points in one stretch, including both types of 3-point plays. Ervin followed her Senior teammate with nine of her 14 points inside of a flurry.

The recent surge in suffocating defense continued as AHS never broke into double figures in any one period . The Cavaliers will enjoy a couple of days off before closing out their regular season with back to back games on Friday night (@ Floyd) and Saturday afternoon (in Salem).

Following those two contests the team will officially begin its quest to defend their State Championship from last season.

Bella Crotts finished with 6 points and Lauren Alley dropped in five along with 2 points from Ashton Richardson.

The Lady Cavaliers were incredibly well represented in the visitors stands by a group of dedicated πŸ‘ Fans !
