The student section looks like its ready for some more Hoops ! Varsity Boys got next… Live Blog (W,72-45)

6:00 minutes until we tip, shortly after 7:05

7:10 tip and inside of the opening minute Ethan Richardson connected on a pair of 3-pointers and its already 6-0!

Some nights everything just clicks and for atleast the opening frame that was the case for Coach Barnes and the Cavaliers.

Seven players scored during the opening 25-5 run and the lead is 25-8 after one quarter.

Give credit to Fort Chiswell as the Pioneers have continued to play toe 2 toe despite the 20 point deficit.

9 Cavaliers have scored in the opening half and everyone has seen amble floor time.

A Big Win in the books 📚! Game story to follow.

Kudos to the Student section 👏 for staying until the end of the contest !

Game Time – JV Basketball 🏀 vs. Fort Chiswell – Live Blog (W, 59-42)

We are just moments away from the Opening Tip here at Carroll County High School as our Cavaliers host the visiting Pioneers from just up Highway 52.

The two teams met back on December 16th with CCHS picking up the road win. Tonight there will be both this live blog and a game story to follow.

The Cavaliers defense started quickly but the offense needed a couple more minutes to catch up.

Fort jumped out to a 6-0 lead but the Cavs pulled within 13-11 by the end of the first quarter.

The Cavaliers D turned it up another notch in the second quarter, holding the Pioneers without a single field goal over the 7:00. Five free throws accounted for the visitors scoring in the 14-5 frame.

Six Cavs have scored points with Landon Puckett leading the team with 7 while Isiah Easter and Paul Marshall both added 5. Caden Dalton has protected the paint and has two blocks at the break.

25-18 lead heading in to second half !

The Pioneers trimmed the lead to 25-24 then Isiah Easter went Steph Curry over the next four Cavaliers possessions. Three 3-pointers with the middle one from NBA range. At the end of the third its the Cavs by 13, 39-26

Thursday Night 🌙 belongs to Boys Basketball 🏀

Carroll County Boys Basketball will play host to Fort Chiswell tonight with the JV game set to tip at 5:30 and the Varsity set to follow at 7:00pm.

The two teams met back in mid-December with the Cavaliers finding success on the road and they will look to duplicate it as they continue with a four games in five days stretch.

All four of the Hoops teams will take to the Highway Friday night when they travel to Salem to face the Highlanders of Glenvar in District action.

Tonight the Boys stand alone on the Cavaliers stage so all fans are welcome to join the fun at 5:30
