CCHS scores the games first four points !
1st quarter in the books 📚!and thanks to 5 made 3-pointers the Cavaliers lead 19-9!
Hayden Jackson added a fifth 3-pointer (Cavs 6th) to extend the CCHS lead out to 30-14 at the break.
The 3rd quarter was a trade of runs as the Cavilers scored the first 10 points to push their lead out to 40-14 before Galax answered with 8 of their own.
Isaiah Easter dropped in 7 points during the frame which ended with CCHS leading 42-22.
Once again the Cavaliers had a spurt, scoring 8 straight to open the quarter and take the lead out to 50-22
Galax scored the final 10 points of the contest but the contest belonged to the home team from the opening tap. All 12 Cavaliers that dressed played and nine of them ended up scoring points.
Jackson led the scoring with 15 and was joined in double figures by Easter with adding 10.
Key to the game was how well the Cavs executed their 2-3 match up zone from start to finish. Hitting 8 3-pointers spaced the court for the offense.
