Hidden Valley advances to State Championship Game, giving local Volleyball 🏐 fans a “Home” team in all 3 Title games on Saturday

One night after Class 1 Auburn and Class 2 Glenvar punched their tickets 🎟 to the State Finals Roanoke’s Hidden Valley completed the Area Hat Trick by defeating Fort Defiance in the Indians gym just South of Harrisonburg.

The Old Dominion or Commonwealth as its properly called is massive in size so the fact that three schools of three different sizes in such close proximity to each other would reach the equivalent of the Volleyball 🏐 Promise Land is rather impressive.

On Saturday afternoon in Salem the building should be a jumping for each of the three matches as not only are close to each other they are almost as close to the host site for the Finals.

The triple header is set to get underway at Noon with matches to follow at 2:15 & 4:30.

Legendary High School Coach Alan Knight is in the gym up near Harrisonburg for the Class 2 showdown which has the rest of us in the Gym just South of Salem.

The Times News (timesnews.net) is on hand from nearby Gate City is one place to look for a game story.

Possibly the most impressive part of the Highlanders season is the fact that no player on the roster stands taller than 5’9. The Coach is off the charts passionate about his squad and his energy spills over to his Senior led squad.

Ronald is here covering the match for the Roanoke Times. You should be able to read his gamer both on line and in tomorrow’s printed edition.

Just received word from Coach Knight that the Hidden Valley – Fort match has been pushed to tomorrow night 🌙.

Volleyball 🏐 🏐 takes center stage Tuesday Night 🌙 as its time for the Final Four

Hidden Valley takes to the road on the Class 3 side while Glenvar gets to enjoy some more home cooking in its chase to defend its Class 2 Championship from last season. The winners 🏆 advance to their respective State title games on Saturday in Salem.

The winner of the Gate City at Glenvar match should have a sizeable advantage on Saturday against the winner of East Rock vs Poquoson semifinal match being played in Elkton.
