Both Boys Basketball 🏀 squads take to the road tonight to challenge Bland High School with the action getting underway at 6pm and 7pm
The Girls teams will divide up to host Abingdon High School at 2pm the day before Thanksgiving. The games will take place at the same time with the Varsity squads playing in the gym at CCHS and the JV teams playing at Hillsville Middle School
One night after Class 1 Auburn and Class 2 Glenvar punched their tickets 🎟 to the State Finals Roanoke’s Hidden Valley completed the Area Hat Trick by defeating Fort Defiance in the Indians gym just South of Harrisonburg.
The Old Dominion or Commonwealth as its properly called is massive in size so the fact that three schools of three different sizes in such close proximity to each other would reach the equivalent of the Volleyball 🏐 Promise Land is rather impressive.
On Saturday afternoon in Salem the building should be a jumping for each of the three matches as not only are close to each other they are almost as close to the host site for the Finals.
The triple header is set to get underway at Noon with matches to follow at 2:15 & 4:30.
Carroll County High School held on to their Top Four spot in the Max Preps Class 3 rankings released today and to further back up just how strongly the Cavs competition was this year both their District Champions and their Regional Champions have reached the Final Four in the Class 2 and Class 3 competition 👏.
In Salem tonight the Highlanders host the Gate City Blue Devils 😈 while an hour plus up the road Hidden Valley faces the Fort Defiance Indians.
Both teams that advance from these semi-finals will be favored on Saturday afternoon in Salem.
Legendary High School Coach Alan Knight is in the gym up near Harrisonburg for the Class 2 showdown which has the rest of us in the Gym just South of Salem.

Hidden Valley takes to the road on the Class 3 side while Glenvar gets to enjoy some more home cooking in its chase to defend its Class 2 Championship from last season. The winners 🏆 advance to their respective State title games on Saturday in Salem.
The winner of the Gate City at Glenvar match should have a sizeable advantage on Saturday against the winner of East Rock vs Poquoson semifinal match being played in Elkton.
