





Carroll County was given an extra down late in the final quarter after Patrick County jumped offsides on a punt on fourth and long and the Cavaliers cashed in with a 50-yard pass to tie up the defensive struggle.
CCHS trailed 6-0 with under 3:00 minutes on the clock before the Big Play in a game where both defensive units were dominating throughout the contest. The Cavaliers went for a two-point conversion, but the run play was stuffed, leaving the score tied 6-6.


Patrick County returned the kickoff for what would have been the game winning score but the play was brought back after a illegal use of hand flag was thrown at midfield.
The Cougars completed a pass as the clock flipped to triple zeros and the game ended with a final tackle at the Cavaliers 2-yard line. The game ended in a 6-6 tie in front of a sizeable crowd at Tommy Thompson Field.
