Play opened up at 9:30 am but the home fans had to wait until 3pm Friday to cheer on their Lopes in a weekend Invitational that included Montana, San Jose State and Binghamton with the host Antelopes facing the Bearcats in its opener. Partly cloudy β›… skies and 68Β° for the first pitch!

GCU plated three runs in both the first and fifth innings and then held on for a 6-4 victory. Montana will try its luck at 5:32pm MST against the Home team.

Game #2 of the series took place at Noon with Montana rallying late to defeat San Jose State 5-3. The Grizzs tied in the top of the sixth and then plated the game winners in the top of the seventh.

The kickoff game was played at 9:30 am with San Jose State defeating Binghamton 7-2.

Game #4 is underway with GCU and Montana both trying to finish the opening day with a 2-0 record.
