Bill “Pappy ” Meade has been spreading cheer and goodwill up and down the Shenandoah Valley for the better part of five decades. What makes Pappy unique in his style of writing ✍ is the level of determination he puts into every single feature or gamer that he chooses to take on.
Pappy graduated from William and Mary after high school and then returned to the Valley and started covering Sports as a hobby before taking it to the full-time level. Pappy is what I like to call a throw back to the Father Knows Best days before Social media took over and changed the way we look at and cover sports, possibly forever.
Now that he is semi-retired he’s a bit more selective in the amount of work he takes on but Thankfully he still searches for the Good that is out there!
There was no better way to step back after a whirlwind adventure like the 12 Games of Christmas 🎄 then to travel back in time to the simpler Days when Sports were just a fun outlet versus the modern day version of $how me the Money 💰.
Some things never change and in the case of Pappy Meade, we are all fortunate for that!
