Glad there was more than 12 slated as options – Another pair of possible game falls victim to postponement

After a Wednesday midday tilt at Davidson College the next stop was slated for Patrick and Henry Community College in Martinsville, Virginia for a Men’s college basketball πŸ€ game. The idea πŸ’‘ was to try and capture as many different levels of competition as possible so some CC hoops was to be a perfect addition.

As of now I am not privy to the cause of the game getting pushed back but there’s still time to get the car pointed in a different direction.

Earlier today it was announced that the Men’s game slated for Saturday between Cleveland St and host Duke would not take place due to Covid within the Cleveland St team. Another option for tonight was the Tar Heels Women’s team hosting Jacksonville but that game has now become listed as Canceled.

The final answer turned out to be getting to a TV and ordering Pizza πŸ• Hut while watching #1 South Carolina play at #15 Duke in Women’s Hoops.

South Carolina raced out to a 17-3 lead and it appeared the Lady Blue Devils were in for a long night. But after switching up their defense they would rally to hold USC to its lowest point total of the season!

Congratulations πŸ‘ to both squads on a hard fought game and to the fans for a successful Halftime Teddy Bear Toss…

Game #4 of 12 included a tilt between the Blue Devils and Cavaliers !

How would a person trying to shine a spotlight on the “Other Team’s” end up at a Men’s hoops contest between the Cavs and the Blue Devils ????

When its the Grayson County High School junior Varsity Blue Devils taking the court against the Carroll County High School Junior Varsity Cavaliers.

Boys and Girls JV teams are fortunate if they get their final scores reported at the bottom of a gamer on the Varsity side.

. Let’s see πŸ‘€ if we can change that up, even if its just for a minute. They game was full of energy and the outcome was in question right up until the final shot bounced away at the final horn.

Cavaliers capture the W 37-36 after the Blue Devils game winning attempt fell short. Congratulations to both teams on their hard fought efforts !

The game we will call 5.5 out of the Christmas πŸŽ„ 12

When you are creating your own Promotional idea its a little more fun because you get to make up all of the guidelines to the process. One of the criteria for the 12 games is to try and find a Kevin Bacon type Six degrees of Separation reason for attempting to promote that particular contest.

The second game on Monday was set to be a No Brainer for me as the NAIA school that I am connected to up the road in Beckley ( West Virginia Tech) was playing Men’s basketball at Bluefield College. Tip was set for 7:30 pm and the loop was underway to watch the Fighting (Lawrence) Nesselrodt’s play hoops.

Tech prefers to go by the name Golden Bears 🐻 but to me its just for fun to pay tribute to the Man I like to call “Big Picture “. The plan would hopefully include dinner 🍽 with Ness but the loop hit a snag when the Tech website posted a note that no visiting fans would be allowed in the gym for the game due to Covid precautions.

I reached out to the folks at Bluefield and received a prompt response of basically No outside fans at all from either side would be allowed in but that there would be live streaming available.

Wanting the glass to always be half full I told myself that I found out before I completed the drive πŸš— up and as I made the U-turn it appeared to work!

Now in search of the next experience I received a Hot πŸ”₯ Tip about a hoops game between the Cavilers and the Blue Devils !!!

While I did follow along with the streaming service later I simply cannot count this as One of the 12.
