Wednesday night Buffalo Gap opened their season with a non-district win over Wilson Memorial and Steve Cox was in the gym for the News Leader and you can check out the gamer at

The new look Shenandoah District is open for business as the Class A district welcomes the Central (Woodstock) Falcons to the fold while Wilson Memorial packs up and heads to Class AA play. The new look gives then Shenandoah 2 teams in each of the 3 counties that sandwich Rockingham County.
Page County is represented by the Luray Bulldogs and Page County Panthers. Both schools are in the final phase of moving into their brand new buildings.
Shenandoah County now is the home for two schools as well with Central joining Stonewall Jackson (Generals) in the league.
Augusta County is now down to just two representatives in Buffalo Gap (Bison) and Riverheads (Gladiators)…

The goal is to combine the efforts of the media to create a site that will hold all of the stories and standings for each of the sports played by the high school athletes.

Stonewall Jackson claims District Title in Golf on Monday

Stonewall Jackson carded a 320 on Monday at Shenvalee Resort to capture both the final stage of the Shenandoah District min-tournament as well as the regular season Championship. The Generals finished with a score of 1,733 for the series, edging out Page County by 49 strokes.
SJHS claims the automatic berth in Region B play while the five remaining schools will now set their sights on the District tournament slated for September 28TH @ Heritage Oaks in Harrisonburg.
